So i have recently bought two oz of this surprisingly THE SHIT Purple Reg. It was rather shaky and i needed to make my money back ($250 total) so i took the loose leaf/hair shake and put it into my 110micron kief box and would routinely shake it down to get all i possibly could, as it was a dry sieve and im no miracle worker. Not the heaviest shaking i've done. In the end only bout a half ounce of shake was used and it pressed out at about 1.5g solid of blonde/carmel hash.
This purple reg was said to have great gene lineage, possibly a purple kush/ haze hybrid, some buds were very deep purple with superb tric's on them (being grown indo'). I have a decent amount of the shake left and i can see MAD trics on the little leaves, pistils and broken calyxes...
And now, my buddy loved the shit i smoked him up on. He's got about a QP left of this purple reg, his family has a set of bubble bags they offered to let me use. I'm kind of hesitant to do the bubble as I NEVER done a water run b4, but this weed is just too sugary and i read about bubble all the time. (I mean, i don't need a whole heap of bubble, but weight is important.)
I'd like a little input into whether one would say it is a legit gamble to drop $500 on the QP and dry it up, break it down, freeze it, and do the bubble thing. I'm getting hyped up about it, as i've been sifting/sieving for years and WASTING many a trics in the pressing process and the sieving process, but the Water process looks very promising.
My main question would be about using the nugs after being broken down, de-seeded, stemmed, and frozen (most people use trim and would rather smoke the bud, but the nugs are where all the "Gold" is). I mean it's a pretty str8 up deal, a QP for 5bills of some krazy purple reg? I wonder is there a ratio of QP/ gr of hash i should be expecting? 10-15% of my weight will be in the final product?
I was thinking of two runs, possibly a 3rd as I'm planning on gettin' all the bang 4 my buck, but I'm also hesitant to go through the process and basically have only half or a little more than half the $500 worth of product to distribute. Any1 prefer using nugs over trim? I'm a hash fan though thru and thru, so basically i thnk any gamble on this would be a pay off.
Thanks for the stage...
