Did you ask that question in the forum? I could of told you that within minutes of the post lol. Coco is just ur base to hold you plants,it holds very little nutrient salts, holds alot of moisture, 1000times its weight. so we must feed every watering. If your using Canna you never need to flush only at the end of your flower cycle. Pharm grade salts are super clean, always have 10% runoff with coco, to avoid nutients stacking, never recirculate always hand water or drip line feed.

I have 12 plants in 3 gal containers, the coco was two compressed "blocks" about 12" x 12" x 8" My plants look good, maybe a little scorching, I am worried because I checked the EC of the run-off and it was like 2.4, I think I should have flushed the coco before I used it. I will take some pictures, they are Headband, Chem #4 and E.C.S.D., all from a local dispensary. They are under 2000watts of air-cooled light.

Yes, if you're using bricked coco you definitely should've rinsed before growing in it. I usually have to put at least a few gallons through hydrated bricks to get the runoff to be clear.

Is there any reason I can't just go flush the beeejesus out of it now? The plants look pretty good, I transplanted them on Sunday, and gave them some PBP Veg, then on Wed and again today I fed them Head's 6/9 ratio of G.H. I sucked up the excess from the saucers with a turkey baster. I normally do DWC, but am looking for a better tasting bud, if you know what I mean!

They've grown quite a bit since Sunday....

This one was take yesterday, sorry for the HPS.. I have to climb into an attic to turn them off once they're on the timer......

Here's what I did.

I was told my bagged Piece Coir was already rinsed so I didn't really flush it much. It had a pretty high EC when I soaked a batch and tested it.

I decided to make up a new batch, properly flushed and presoaked in a nute solution. I then transplanted into that and things took off nicely.

I only do one plant tho, it might be a little more cumbersome for you.

I didn't want to flush mine with the plant in it because it was just transplanted from dirt and didn't have a lot of roots yet, was afraid I'd drown her. Also it's best to soak it in hot water to flush out the salt, I didn't want to poach her while she drowned.
