hey, my friend was watching over my plants this easter holiday and they are in pretty bad shape i think ;s

they are 3 white widows plantet start of february, (12/12)

they look kinda dried out, and somewhat the buds look rotten could this be bud rot? only think has been shit this week has been no ventilation so its been a little warm in the case.. its 125 whats cfl..

heres some pictures of each 3 plants, only one of them is in super bad shape

sorry if its bad quality, its taken with an iphone 3gs ;s

some quick info on what i should do about them over night?
what ive done now is take mostly all fan leaves away.
and add ventilation to the box. and oscilation.

Sorry about your plants man!

I would get rid of the real bad one personally. Then trim back anything that looks dead or rotten.

Do you know what the temps or humidity got to? My guess is the humidity caused the rot (if that's what it is)

It's all in your priorities, man.
So you cant spare $15 for a thermohygrometer, but yoiu can shell out $300 for a phone and $100/month for service
Perhaps there's an app for gheto growing in carbboard boxes.
Good luck.

all he did was water them every 2nd day.and i know this is true, cuz his one of my best friends and wont lie. and had the box closed up for next watering time.. + they had a little fertalizer.. (could this maybe have done it? )

and sgt - the phone isnt mine.. just borrowed it to take pictures cuz my own does not have any camera.. and do you have a link where i could get a hygro meter that cheap cuz i havent seen em a day under 35$ in denmark.. and just didnt think that it was that important, tho is see it is now ):

Not trying to bust your balls, but if you were unsure of how important the climate of your grow area is, you've got some learning to do.
You've found a great place to do so. Do some reading, then do some more. The more you know, the better off you'll be. Good luck.

Ok. so im pretty sure its over watered. put in a room not hotter than 82 degrees c. Wit your bulb 5in from on side of your plans and pots about halfway inbetween both. do not water until your plants are maddddddd dry. it should feel very light with hardly any weight in the soil. next watering besure you test your ph and make it around 6.8.

i would add a foxfarm with the red lable.(not grow big or tiger bloom i forget the name. be sure to cut the dosage in half from what it says on the label.

Wait until your pot is very dry to water every time! your roots go crazy and roots=bud so get lots of em. do not transplant! and rather than a cardboardbox- go to a any gardenstore and get thick black tarp for painting/about 50x10ft. build a _____in' light proof box and put a fan in that
_________!
Best of luck! We All Start Ghetto Sometimes! DSD:bump: PS im blazin a fat L to the dome.... lol

over watered, no ventilation, high humidity, high heat = mold everytime

I wouldn't smoke a speck of that, trash it and try again when you can give a proper enviornment. Environment is #1, everything else comes after, nail the environment then worry about nutrients, watering frequency, strains, medium.

Build yourself a good grow space, you need a fan, preferably the oscillating type to keep the air moving, when your plants are young over watering will kill them quick, ventilation is a must. Most places sell the weather monitoring devices, give syou temp and humidity. I elevate my pots off the floor with plastic shelves, the kind that come in a kit and stack together with the tubes, the shelves are not solid. Before I learned to pick up my pots and judge them by weight I over watered a few times. My quick remedy was to heat it up, high 80's low 90's, get some fans blowing on the pots to promote evaporation in the soil, lots of air flow to remove the humidity and then leave it alone till the soil dried out, then just as the plant started to wither a bit, you know the leaves are just starting to sag I would water again, a good thorough watering and again, leave it alone till the dry out. I don't feed my plants anything till I see some roots showing through the drain hole in the pot. When using store bought fertilizer I always use 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended amount. Better to under feed while you learn your gear than to burn them up. Once you over feed and cook your plants its hard to save them. Your fan leaf tips will tell you how your doing feeding, you'll see the tips start to turn brown when the mix starts to get to strong for your plants. Good luck with everything.

Edit: Also your fan leaves are key to your plants health I don't recommend plucking them off but that is my opinion and we all know our opinions differ.

can you get me the name of that fox farm stuff so i can get them in shape again if possible?

Hi nineblanc,
First off - my condolences.. From looking at your pics and I mean just looking and not reading anything here's what I see.. 1 - Burning the leaves are crispy on the ends and this means the plant is desperately trying to expel over fertilization on a foliar level as they would normally but your case is severe. 2 - I see bud rot. Not reading your post I see you were gone etc. Your plants never had a steady breeze and the moisture from the soil, along with the leaves, and that of the calyxes created a home made humidity dome for you. DO NOT be upset cause I trust this will never happen to you again bro. This is a learning curve and you are learning first hand. Smell the bud. Does is smell like old gym socks? That's rotting - I don't make a habit of telling people to kill their crop but you are going to put this in your lungs in the end. Might make you sick to smoke moldy weed but I've never been sick and I have. My mistake was spraying constantly during the flowering cycle. Live and let learn my friend cut the worst one and dry it. And if you want something to make you feel better look at my signature where it says massive failure. That was my last grow and I vegged for over 2 months - look and find out what happened to me.. We live to learn my friend YOU DID NOTHING WRONG!

You can use Fox Farm Ocean Forrest. That stuff is probably the BEST premix you can get without creating your own.

Pretty bad over fertilization.. I suggest you do what SumDumGuy said, take the worst out and dry it out.

Then take the rest of them to bathroom and run fresh water through the soil, so you get the extra nutes out of it, then they might still have a chance, though the healing will be slow and your yield wont get much bigger than it is now, but atleast mature. If you let the extra nutes stay there, your plants are gonna die very soon..

just to say, i know that that case was not an ideal place for them to be, but my friend had to take em with him home to his parrents and therefor hide it good as we couldnt let em be in our doorm over the holidays.. it was either that or throw them out and nothing. so we had to take the chance :) only one of them is in bad shape and im gonna flush them tonight for 10 mins each or something like that.

but one question how do i dry them out again fast?
and can i try use some fertalizer again but very very little consentrated or would that be stupid?

We do have an super awesome box. the 16th wer starting a new grow with 800w cfl air cooled hoods filter and a sick exhaust etc, were gonna run 24 plants in there 12/12 again might be with a screen.. we have much better planning this time and maybe an auto watering system (any idea how much water a 12 / 12 ak 48 plant would need a day if its in 1.5 liter pots? )

ill post some pictures of the box / how far we have gotten with it later tonight.

and thanks for the replies guys :) i hope they wil survive ;D

Please be careful and don't get kicked out of a dorm because of one plant it was either that or throw them out and nothing. so we had to take the chance :) only one of them is in bad shape and im gonna flush them tonight for 10 mins each or something like that. - Whatever your container size multiply it by 5 and that is the amount of water needed for a flush.. 10 minutes will over do it imo..

but one question how do i dry them out again fast? Just hang dry with a direct fan. You need to dry to a crisp to STOP mold (Or oven to be honest that mold looks bad.)
and can i try use some fertalizer again but very very little consentrated or would that be stupid? No this is the primary reason for your problem now. Just pH'ed H2o for "2" weeks! If she bounces back strong in a week feed at 1/4 strength.

I'd suggest a screen and scrog for buds - you'll like it ;)
