Best lighting etc for a 2x4 5.5 foot tall room?

The best lighting options I can find that will fit in the space are a 6 tube t5ho 6 bulb 4 foot, 400 hps or 400 cmh. 600 hps I think will be way too much heat.

The hps or cmh worries me on heat, space between plants and lights after the 5 gallon buckets, and light throw. I cannot find a great reflector for a long rectangle. 2 smaller hps lights are too expensive and far less efficient. Would have to use a cool tube or enclosed design for heat.

The t5ho is less watts but also a far more even light spread. I can get these fixtures in either an 18 inch spread or a 24 inch spread, any thoughts which would be better? I may also add some cfls.

3 plants in flower at any point in time, each in 5 gallon bubbleponics diy setups. Bubbleponics is a combination deep water culture + drip. There may occasionally be 3 more just starting flower towards the end of flower of the other 3.

Any clue how big of a carbon scrubber I need? Total stealth is a must. Also adding Ona to the scrubber on the exhaust side. I also have 2 other air cleaners in my house that I plan on gutting and replacing the pleated filters with activated carbon.

Exhausting to the outside is not an option.

For CO2 I plan on using 5 gallon carboys and fermenting sugar, with a fermentation lock venting it directly into the closet with a hose.

6 plant limit due to colorado law.

i have a 250 watt hps sunlight supply its working great for my two plants. probably going to hang some cfls as well when it gets more into flowering. there is also no issues with heat and mines in a cramped closet.

check out tents from GYO for that grow room they have ones thatd be a perfect fit. and cheap! they also have multiple vents. im going to vent mine through 4 inch a carbon filter with a fan thats going to cost me about 100 dollars from IGS hydro store.

A 400W globe is good for a 2 1/2'X2 1/2' light footprint, a 600W globe is good for a 3'X3' light footprint.

An HPS or CMH will give you better results than the fluoros.

Go for air cooled if temps are going to be an issue.

use the 400 watt cmh or hps from what ive read cmh is the best in the smaller bulbs
just make sure to get a good enough exhaust fan as this is very important to keep that size space cooled with that bulb, and airflow is important regardless of the lighting

I love thinking about setups. But it can be a pain to try to help someone else think about theirs because there are so many variables, and every grower has different circumstances.

I have the luxury of having my reservoirs downstairs below my grow. So I can use all of the vertical space. If all I had was a 2x4x5.5 room, I'd be wondering if I could stack more than one system in there. If you use low wattage lights you could definitely stack two ebb and flow systems in there, but I doubt that would work with bigger lights. The ideal (best yield per watt) footprint for a 150w light is 2' square. You could put two 150s over each tub. I doubt I'd even bother air-cooling small lights like that (pretty penny to buy 4 air-cooled hoods for 4 dinky little lights lol), but that means you'd have to vent the whole grow area.

But I doubt that would work if you have to cram reservoirs in there too. Vertical might be the way to go. I thought hard about trying vert but decided to stick with what I know.

Just some ideas. Good luck.
