We're gonna run c99 this year as well...

From what I have seen indoors so far, the c99 is a vigorous grower with a huge stretch once flowering is initiated. Mine stretched from 17" to 5' in 3 weeks inside, with lanky structure - up to 5" between nodes, classic sat structure. Seems to be filling in OK tho.

She clones readily, rooting in 1/2 the time of my other plants (AK47). Cindy took 1 week to root, AK took near 2 in the bubble cloner - How does she smoke? Ask me in 3-4 weeks...

This is JW c99 f2 @ 41 days 12/12 w/1 400 HPS... :rasta:

I think Straincollector said it all about C-99 really . Its been so long since I grew her out but i still have f2 seeds of her . She's great for making crosses IMO . She does get branchy with fairly weak stems as I recall so your going to have to stake her . Also she was a moderate feeder just a very easy plant to grow actually. :tiphat

I've never done Casey, so I cannot offer an opinion there. It's up to U I guess, this year is my 1st time going from bought & paid for seeds, all prev. times were bagseed grows. if they flower @ approx the same rate + finish at a similar time, why not?

Variety is a good thing...:rasta:

I have some JW C99 seeds I am planning on using for my first grow with a 400 watt hps. I was hoping that it wouldn't stretch so much. Any idea on when and how much to top to keep the height down to 4 feet at finish?

cindy doesn't stretch that much...if you want a 4ft plant to crop out with I would flip(12/12) when your plants are 1.5-2ft tall..you should get a plant no taller then 5 ft...it stretches in my experience x2..so whatever you have when you flip add the same height in the end
and if yo're smart you'll LST or fim or top whatever you want and get a nice LOW bush

theres some random outdoor pics of c99 in my gallery. i ran it in new england with great success. it needs staking and tying as the branches are weak . nice compact buds and semi mold proof. finished oct 14th

Well, since a pic is worth 1000 words, here she is. Her height at flip was approx. the size of the piece of balsa shown in the pic. Now she has the top foot cracked over at 90 degrees to keep her from hitting the light hood. Both plants at the front of the pic are c99.

The light hood is 5 foot 10 inches from the floor. :rasta:

well I tried to edit in the 2nd pic 5x, and submit button would not respond every time. So here's the 2nd pic at hood height - the top foot of c99 has been cracked over or it'd be into the hood...

The hood is exactly 5' 10" from the floor...

Edit: To answer the question, a topping or 2 before flower or an lst would be my suggestion. These are untrained/unclipped (until I cracked over the tops due to height) and the mainstalk reached for the sky...Fast!

Hey, I doubt there is much difference between Gypsy's and Mosca's. Obviously different selections, so they should be a little different. I don't know for sure but I would guess Gypsy had a larger population to choose parents from. That does not mean Gypsy's is better though.

Does anyone know what is the difference between JLP C99 F4 and Gypsy's? I've grown JLP C99, and really enjoyed them. Actually that's the reason I'm going to grow C99.
