Hey Horton ... can I get a "who who"?

So either that observation/discovery renders us far less significant, OR, far more significant. We are either a smaller speck of sand amidst a bigger beach than we ever imagined, OR, we are discovering new depths of the spectacular and magnificant creation in which we are unique.

They said it's 90% bigger than first expected. Kinda hard to wrap your mind around it....

In other news, I just got a bad ass telescope from a garage sale for twenty bucks. Been having a bit of fun with it the last few days. Really cool to see what you didn't even know was there.

Astronomy has always intrigued me for some reason. The vastness of space is really humbling....

Some day they'll find my home planet and i can return home with the seeds the elders sent me out to find.

I would be more aware of when there is a Gamma Ray Burst near the Milky Way!!!! We would all be facing Ordovician–Silurian Extinction....Supposedly happens every billion or so years.

Can we get past 2012 before you tell me the world is already past the expiration date of its billion year Gamma Ray Burst.

In 2012 a scientist gets sucked into the black hole that is being created by the super partical accelerater.

He travels back in time as the earth is sucked into a black hole.

He then tries to warn the planet of the coming apocolypse.

He goes far and wide trying to communicate this, but he dies from a virus that his 21st century body lacks the immune response to destroy.

The Mayans understand tho and their calendar is the foretelling.

Might make a decent screenplay...eh?

Aw man, I thought I was king of my own little world! ;) We're a bunch of fleas arguing over who owns the dog and our existence on this planet means pretty much nil. I agree we need to get off this planet, too easy for a single bad virus to wipe us all out. Diversify and expand!
