New Cannabean Thread! :jump:

Beautiful setup! :respect:

========
Outside of icmag, I'm not familiar with grow tents at all.

No probs holding up that heavy reflector?
(and the fan too, it looks like from here) ;)

Do they say what the weight limit is for hanging stuff?

If you wanted, could you hang your carbon filter in there too?

========
I'd like to know more about you momming method / maint. (deja vu?)

You still veg em under flos?

:listen2: How do you get so many well timed healthy green clones, so often, from so few moms?

:tiphat:

Very nice setup. It looks like you have to hit close to or above 1 gram per watt. What have the past runs yielded?

:tiphat:thanks, returned! clean is my thing.
Sweet setup hope to get my SOG going like that soon! :tiphat:

thanks Nitrain, all it takes is a lotta clones :blowbubbles:

Pete! thanks for stopping by buddy!
I am really impressed by these Growlab tents. high quality all around, very well thought out. The roof supports are very strong, I dont have a pic of it but I have my carbon filter attached on the open end of the light, using the same set of crossbars as the light and fan....imo the tents should be 6-12 inches taller though.
I think listed weight limit is 100lbs, not sure if that is per crossbar or per support bar set of two though.

My mom method hasn't changed much. I take about 10 clones from a few moms of a certain strain I want to flower at the same time a tray is jsut starting flowering. those clones become temp moms which are rooted and thrown in 6" pots of rockwool floc.
I take 3 clones off each mom before culling em when taking cuts for a flowering tray. I take about 40 cuts to guarantee 28 healthy strong babies for a tray. Those are rooted and vegged for a week in rockwool blocks before being flowered.
I keep my established moms and cull most of the temp moms I made to fill said tray, repeat.

The veg/mom/clone room is under a 6 bulb 2' T5 fixture....Upgrading to the growlab clonelab when I get a chance :bigeye:

I am running the same res as you on tables as well and I was wondering how far away your 1000watt is from the canopy?

The were vegged toooo long this time due to uncontrollable circumstance so they are taller than they normally should be. The day 20's are 18" from the bulb. Ideally Id like them to finish at 20-24" from the bulb.

with 26 blue dreams, 1gdp, 1bubba kush I got 376g off one tray. running a small group of gdp and querkles in a neglected table I got 275g off one tray. Im shooting for 375g at least this round with a goal at 1lb from a tray. depending on how much more they stretch and how much they fill out, I think Ill reach 375g no problem.:hotbounce

thanks, I sure messed with a lot of dirty setups before going with clean and simple though:artist:

How do they do right around 18" from the hood? My girls just got done stretching and like you they are right around 16-18" from the reflector.

Excellent info on the temp moms!
Thanks CB!

Hey growbigtrees,

I'll throw in my :2cents:

I think that 16" is getting kinda close.
Most folks say 18" - 24" away for 1 kW...depending on temps...

If your light is well vented / temps are cool, then you might be able to get away with it.

just keep a lookout for heat stress...

Maybe you might could gently bend the tops to the side a bit?

Good luck! :ying:

Oh I have been! Not only have I been bending and super-cropping, I have even tried to make a scrog on top of the scrog. The lights are 12 inches away right now with 4+ inches left to raise. The plants look a little lighter green, but no abnormalities. I vegged the plants for a bit to long and I have limited height space. The lights are cooled with outside air which is 30-40 degrees, so the lights and canopy stay around 74 average. I can hold my hand under for more than a min with no problem. I haven't raised the lights the remaining space to hopefully prevent even more stretching. And sorry to the OP about this side discussion in your thread. <3

plants keep growing and no possible room left to raise the lights, Ive been there...actually i am there now.:trampoline:
growbigtrees, if your girls are 12 inches from a 1000w, Id raise the light those remaining 4 inches asap, not because of bulb temps but rather possible light burn:watchplant::bigeye: :bigeye: :bigeye:
the middle girls directly under my light are showing some light stress...but I think it also has to do with the reflector Im using. I bet you can get plants closer to the bulb in a reflector with a better light spread like the magnum xxxl vs a hydrofarm radiant, which is what Im using.
Dont trip about discussion in this thread, its welcomed :blowbubbles::wave:

Im just hoping my girls dont get any taller

Yeah the same thing is happening with my plants that are directly under the the 1000w. I guess I will go raise the lights and see if the color darkens on the ones that are affected. I just spent about an hour bending all the shoots basically 90 degrees over, so that should slow down their stretching quite a bit especially since I also super cropped before the bending. Argh I might have to bite the bullet and do emergency surgery on the table legs, but then I would have to figure out a whole new reservoir situation because the ones we are using are quite tall and the table has to be a teeny bit above to drain, I would gain probably at least 3-4 inches if I did cut the legs down. Hrm I guess we will just have to see. I will go take some pictures so you can give me your opinion on whether they are getting light stressed. Your thread has helped a ton, thanks for the input thus far!

Ah good news! I raised the lights the remaining space and actually gained more height than I expected. Now the 1000w are 19" away! Hopefully the lighter parts of the canopy gain some darkness!

:jump:thats good news, if doing surgery on the table legs isn't an incredible hassle,(i was thinking about pulling both tables of girls out and cutting the legs on my stand even more but I only have 3" of space between res and table ) you might think about biting the bullet and doing it. 19" is good but getting a few more inches is always worth it if possible...post some pics, lets see em!

Here is one more I had lying around, right day 20, left day 12.

I forgot pictures last night, woops! I will definitely go snap some when the lights flip later tonight. Your girls look great even with the minor light problems! I think I am going to have ~ 19" for the lowest light, and ~ 20"+ on the other 2 lamps. I had to do some crazy mounting on the ceiling for one of the lights so it hangs about an inch or so lower then my other 2 1000w lamps.

Alright as promised here are some new pictures. Well bad news is they stretched ~ 2" so I am back between 17"-19" on each table. Enough talking here they are!
