Every now and then when I want do something a little different I take a cut like this,
Never noticed any down side to this type of cloning, and the up side (so long as I stay on top of any intrusive branching) is an easier way to more tops.
Does anyone else practice this method? Does it get a fancy name like F.I.M?

Funny you post that picture.

5 weeks ago my filter tumbled down onto one of my plants and topped it rather violently down the may cola. After I mended the remaining two main branches I thought it may actually die. But here I am 4 weeks away and it is still kicking...minus it's main cola that is.

Nice, i like to do that for my mothers...
