Holes in Seedling

I have a few seedlings with holes in them and I don't have any leads. I think it may be little gnomes that come and poke holes with their needledicks but I can't confirm nor deny.

Also, I have a seedling that looks to be in bad shape.

I have all my seedlings in a simple earthworm castings/coco/peat/perlite seedling mix, and hit them with teas, kelp, and one sea90 watering. Also I did a top dress with dolomite on some of them that I planted before I mixed dolomite into the soil, including the sick puppy above. She almost looks like she has shrunk a bit.

The holes are just from a mutant leaf, or possibly something that happened when the seed casing came off (did you remove it?)

The other seedling.. man, that poor thing is toast, you probably OD'd it with dolemite, or maybe the other things you added (seedlings only need light and water for the first few weeks)..

I bet you can save the seedling with bare root transplant.

I rinse off the root ball, but it's best to find a video clip explaining bare root.

heres your problem with the second one....seedlings dont need a feed for at least two weeks. the EWC in the seedling mix is all they need and more for the very beginning of there life.

the first one will grow out of it, just dont give it anything but water.

I'm thinking that as well. There was probably a little pressure getting it's helmet off. The one that looks burnt.......that says it.

Yeah I... have quite the bad habit of pulling 'em off. Nature doesn't go fast enough chop chop!

Look I don't have time to assemble a dozen men I'm just going to have to knuckle up and handle this myself times a' tickin.

I did a procedure as thus:

Carefully removed soil from around the edges of the cup until I could identify the placement of the rootball, I then removed the plant/rootball, dipped the rootball in a bowl of water/swished it around until it was rather clean, and then I inserted the root down into a new cup containing seedling mix.

Well she looks nice and firmly seated, but will she take nice to her new home? Any updates on the matter you'll hear from us first, unless the story leaks to the press.
