speed controller

Anybody out there using the speedster controller with a max fan? If so did it help and were there any draw backs? I've seen people using it with the vortex fans, but can't find any post with it being used with a max fan.

This thing works awesome turns my fan down to almost nothing blowing out. No humming at all very happy i picked it up.
