Drip to waste...help

My first grow with this medium ( rockwool) seedlings are in 1.5" rockwool. I have roots popping out the bottom. so i fiqured I will
begin the trasporting of the cubes into hydroton in 6" pots. I'm using a drip system however no sure of the duration of drip. Ive heard some say that the drip can run continously, then some say 2 or 3 times a day for 15 mins. all I know is that rockwool retains water for quite some time, albeit under 4x4 48" halo. I'm worried about overwatering. can I get a little assistance on this matter.
I've seen somewhat similar post but something is always diff. usually medium or its not drip flow. thanks in advance. I read these boards everyday.

I would take it easy first 2 or 3 times per day for 15 sound right for young plants as they get older just give them what they need over watering is easy to spot i would not worry about it just don't let them dry out

Look at my signature. Pure rockwool! Forget the hydroton. For the first 1/2 of the grow water for twice per week for 30-60 seconds.

really it just takes a little of time and experience, Technically you cant over water rock-wool persay.. As far as the plants go feel the pot they are in, the weight alone in combination with a light feeding about twice a day.Ideally you may want to feed once a day and a water once a day. spread out of course, that way the medium gets fresh nutes every time or that way nothing lingers around in the medium. Just feel your pots after feeding and also when they are not fed it will give you a good perspective. As the plants grow they will always require more of course. Definitely weighing out by hand helps out alot! helped me. I'm a noob too but i work with some skilled trades men and i learn from the best lol. hope that helps. As far the drippers goes about twice a day 15-20 just feel the pots out.
