Seems like everyone lost interest when you got on your feet...
I think this is a beautiful story of how it takes real dedication and a real job, but this can be done!!

San Fran is an awesome city to live in.....if you got money

I grew up in SF but i cant afford to pay the standard of living there. I rent a place in the east bay for half the price of SF.

You should hop the bart train to Oakland to be honest, the east bay is a little cheaper.

If you gotta stay in SF definately the TLs, but it aint pretty. lots of crack, lots of bangers, etc...

Im sorry but you shold have consulted people first. I wouldnt move to SF with anythingless than 20 grand, honestly, its an expensive town...

only Q---rs nowadays call SF frisco and that is the bottom line

the dont call it frisco attitude is from the 60-70s generation. im born in the 80s and most locals do call SF "Frisco", from surfer whiteboys to the nortenos on 24th...its a younger generation thing, from about the late 80s to the 90s...Guce, IMP, 11-5, Cougnut, they all call it frisco...

SF is my favorite city in the world, even though i hate libgressives and snobby rich transplant yuppies, im born and raised SF (O-B) OUT BOUND OCEAN BEACH!!...i stay in the east bay but cross the bridge almost every weekend to get drunk and kick it..SF is where you will catch me should times be tough, on the back of the 14 mission with a tall can and an ultra wide of that candy ink...yellin at kids to hit panel shots and walkdowns...what you know!!!

ive been in the bay area for 33 yrs believe me i know what the city is about.ive heard san francisco being called frisco since i can remember .maybe all the yuppies and gays that live in san fran dont like it being called that but there all transplants from other places anyways .i dont think u know what the city is really like .shit all the people that are og san fransicans have had to move out because these rich yuppie bastards have raised the cost of living in the city .so now these are the people that u say dont like san francisco being called frisco well those people can eat shit.my mom lived in the haight in the 60s and 70s shes a true san franciscan and has never been offended by it being called frisco.sorry to sound pissed but i really dont think you know san fran at all even if you been here 17 yrs.

exactly man...most of the people in SF are NOT locals..

most of my homies who grew up in SF had to leave..got people in the boonies now from santa rosa to vallejo to oakland...alotta people had to move out.

my parents still stay out there but the rent is just too damn expensive....almost all of my friends who still live in SF stay with their parents

I hit SF in 1978 with $5 in my pocket......managed to get a job on Broadway at the Mabuhay Gardens...the owner Ness Aquino let me work the door carding people and doing security.....took a while sleeping on peoples floors before I got my own place...then it was all on the up and up for the next 4 years or so....

...where there is a will, you always find a way...

yea the plus side is there are a lot of 10/hr jobs in SF...because there is a huge revolving door of people....my ex moved to SF without college degree and started applying eveywhere. firsrt it was office max, then wells fargo, and now finally shes making 20 an hour at a really upscale hotel and shes unionized so shes doing pretty good..

if illegals from el salvador are finding work in every kitchen then you can for sure find work. not in the 215 field but somewhere in the normal world.

also if you got a computer, try craigslist. post a dog walkers add, i had a skater friend who made hundreds every week just walking dogs in sf, those yuppies got alot of money in Noe Valley!

blah blah blah grow up
find a girlfriend and live at her baby fathers trailer like me
joking, im just 21 in new jersey and am looking for a way out
New Mexico has cheap land, buy property and grow your fruit

Oakland...The only city I have had to pull over and drag a hooker out of my car......

She jumped in at a red light...Learned to lock my doors that night.

I lived in SF during the 89 earthquake, I have some crazy images burned in my mind from that.

I was a senior in high school at George Washington, at work at my crappy job during the earthquake.

Rode the Muni to school every day till I got a car at 16.

I was arrested in 1986 for having a couple Magnum 44 markers in SF. :D
