Axial Fans & Carbon Scrubber Dresser grow

Hey guys,

Im back again with yet another question. I've been looking into buying this carbon filter http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=49749. And i know that Ideally I would exhaust with a cent. fan, but because of money and stealth, I was wondering if you guys think I would be able to use a axial fan to pull air through the scrubber, to be exhausted outside the cab.

The fan I was planning on using is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185060. It has the following stats 110CFM, .52 A and 37dB.

Do you think that this fan would be able to pull enough air though the scrubber for a small 3ftwide 3 ft high 2 ft deep dresser?

Thanks for your time guys.

I seriously doubt it. Axials don't deal well with back pressure. While it may remove odors, I'd expect cab temps to skyrocket.

For an axial, you'd want a filter like SugarBear's.

I plan on having a 250 w light, which will be vented by itself through a cooltube, so many temps wouldnt be too much of an issue. Would something like sugarbears work for flowering 3-4 plants?

For a 250, I'd use the filter you linked to with a centrifugal or mixed vent such as Vortex or S&P. Note that S&P mixed vents, while much quieter, do NOT move air like a Vortex, go at least one model up from your "needs."

Another consideration is the Panasonic Whisperfan

that, or perhaps you could look into thermaltake fans? they are axial but are basically the top of the line in terms of pressure rating. still not like a serious fan, but if you designed your cooltube setup perfect I dont see why it wouldnt work. and even then, 2 of them could be rigged up, one for the light on a separate circuit then one for air exchange/scrubbing. controllers allow you to throttle them back if they are too loud.
