cloning with rapid rooters

I

When making cuts i have always cut at the node. Cutting a 45 degree angle on the other side of a node that is cut off. They seem to push out the roots from the node area much faster then just using a part of the open branch.

What do you guys think?

Awesome. Was wondering about Rapid Rooters and the best/easiest way to to clone/seed in a 10x20 dome. Was looking at coco but really Rapid Rooters seems almost the same if not better.

Thanks for the info guys!

Tell ya...I have used Rapid Rooters as well until the other day I went to the hydro shop and they were out.

I bought Root Riots instead.....never going back. I used Riots with Clonex for clones and just drop them in for beans.

Currently have running 100% germ rate with some auto/ak from seed and standing an inch within 36 hours. No nutes just misting the top of the root riot making sure its always moist with water mixed with h202.

Just my :2cents:

Love rapid rooters. Used everything out there including the ez-cloner and never had as good of success as with rooters.

Also gotta bump for some clonex, since its the hormones in the gel that get the ball rolling!!

When i was given a cloning tutorial from a longtime grower (30+ years) he had similar experiences. He explained that all the hormones are located at the nodes. Cut the 45 just below a node. Cut the nodes branches off flush to the stem. Roots will pour out of that node. He had done a side by side comparison. Leaving nod on and the other with just bare stem. 4-5 day difference in rooting times with the exposed node clone being the faster of the two. I always have used this method. Medi Edi

I really don't notice any difference in SPEED of rooting with COCO or rapid rooters (I fucking HATE rockwool btw), although I TOTALLY agree with the above.

you want roots fast? make SURE there's a node as described above on your cut, or it takes WEEKS longer to pop roots out of a cut stem end.

best point brought up in this entire thread (save the op's awesome step by step)

props

Kinda late for me but I have been using soaked (2pm/gallon of root juice and great white) rapid rooters ( for 24hrs) for the past 2 years with literally 100% rooting. Recently ventured into rock wool just because of size and a more variables for growth after rooting.
Rapid rooters take me 1 week to root with a heating mat on the whole time never let rr's dry and perfect clones. A's with rockwool cubes. About 90% rate with more stress but overall will pick rooters over cubes. Never will germ seeds in either, horrible success rates

yes, you can but @2wks into 12/12 the cuts usually stress and freak a bit by tossing out mutant looking leaves, don't worry..
they will grow out of it

Could you please explain it again, my english is usually fairly good, but i don't understand?
Cut through the node?
Cut just so the node stays on the cutting?
:thank you:
