Just got a PLACE.. need some help

I ran around 2000 watts in an upstairs loft... I powered it from 2 different breakers or whatever. I didnt kno squat about shit didddly at the time... If I were to do it again, I would just go with 4x 400 watts to be safe.. and split that between 2 breakers.. I would put them in a 7 ft by 7 ft tent... You would want to use an 8" fan with a fan speed controller to turn it down all the way (much less noise) What ur trying to do is very simple (minus messing with electrical in a rented space), as long as u dont over complicate things.. remeber KISS.. keep it simple stoner... do a sea of green in foxfarm ocean forrest if its ur first time.. water with RO water and very little hydro nutes.. goodluck

as for the timer, just use a couple cheap ass dual outlet intermatic heavy duty timers from home depot.. they r shit but they work

its not a rented place. and i looked and the breakers say 20 on them.. some say 30. its a 2 fam house.. all to me.
could i just run a large wire up to the room and install a sub-panel with breakers. would that be the easiest.. and then install outlets dedicated for ballests/fans/ac.

i know i can wire this up, i just need a little guidance. like i said i have done basic breaker installation and switches/outlets/ 2 way switches.

thanks again every1... i cant wait to get started.. just need some more advice..on which way would be safest. I would much rather do it myself..

I would take a board, mount a 2 gang box, and a 220V intermatic timer rated to at least 20A. I would wire the line side of the timer to 12/3, using the white as neutral for clock, then wire this to a 20A twist lock plug. Wire the load side of the timer to the 2 gang box, with two 15 or 20A duplex receptacles(clearly labled 220V using #12 wire (I would prolly pipe from timer to box,and use THHN, but stapled romex would be fine). Then all you need to do is run 12/2 from 220v 20A breaker to 220V 20A twistlok receptacle. Then just plug your ballasts into the the 2 duplex receptacles.

This way it it plug and play, you can easily take it from one room to another, all you would need to do is add one 20A circuit. I would prolly do it 30A incase i ever wanted to run more than 2400W, but 20A at 220V is fine for 2400W.

This way you could bring in your wire through a small hole in the ceiling or floor(depending on construction) and even surface mount the twistlok recep on the board(or get rid of it and connect in a box w/ split bolts). Then you would have Very little damage if you had to clean up quickly.

so will i be alright if i run 3 new circuits/ 30amp breakers.. will use appropriate wire size to run to the room.. 2 circuit will be spread out on 4 outlets ( each outlet will control 2 600w lights.. and then the 3rd breaker will be used for fans and other things

You would have to check the amperage rating of you lamps but you should be able to put 8 600w lights on one 30a 220v circuit. Or 4 600w lights on one 30a 120v circuit. Use #10 wire for either. I would wire a 10/3 from a double pole 30a breaker to the line side of a 30A double pole intermatic timer using the white to bring in a neutral for the clock, then take 10/2 from the load side of the timer to your 4 outlets. Then you could probly run a 12/2 off 20a single pole breaker to run all other misc. stuff, but actually add up your wattage and size accordingly to make sure, and remember to only load to 80%
