New Clones

So i just planted my girls 3 days ago Hindu Skunk and Train Wreck. I've been out of the game for 3 yrs. I'm using 1k hps with 4 inch rockwool cubes, on top of mini rockwool crutons top feed with sprayers. Room temps are 71-74 lights on 64-68 off.

Ph started at 5.6 and has drifted to 6.0 ppm started at 400ppm now reads 340, I haven't really noticed any growth been so long can't remember if it takes more than a few days before i would see some noticeable growth. Wondering if i'm just stoned or should there be some noticeable growth.

They look green and happy just can't tell if they're doing there thing. Oh room humidity is 42% and running 10 inch max fan every few hrs to exhaust the room. Also in the past for what i can remeber i would start at 5.6 ph let it drift to 6.1 and then use some ph down. Is this cool or should i be doing something differently?

Thanks :dance013: painroad

#1...lay offf the nutes already...they are baies and you are feeding them steak. Give em ph'd (get it to 6) water for a week, then when ya see some really heathy roots, give em a qtr of whatever your nutes tell ya to...then move up...if they need them...most times nutes are overdone...the girls can only handle so much...

He's doing rockwool so you can start at 1/4 strength and go up to full after 2 weeks. Do you have an ec meter for nutes. Also MJ loves hydrogen peroxide everyday. 3ml/gallon. If your hand feeding keep in mind that rockwool plants are usually flooded 4 or 5 times a day for a few minutes so watering once a day is going to cut it. 5.5 in veg and 5.8 or 5.9 in flower

"They look green and happy"
Not sure where you got burning roots from that? and he's got clones in rockwool not seedlings in soil so not sure what your problem is.

they are 3 day old sproutlings...they cannot handle huge amunt of nutes... I've been successfully growing for many years now and, In My Humble Opinion, I think you gotta give them babies time to move on to foods, much like a real baby. There is no need to rush things....

Think I may have misunderstood as hi=s thread title does say "clones"...even so, when transplanting, I give em 1/2 strength B1 or Superthrive...until I see some growth, then I start at 1/4 strength, moving up everry 3 days as long as I see no bad reaction...I rearely run more than 3/4 strength til the last 3-4 weeks of flower, then I blast em!!! That's just me...at the point that they can do no harm by producing a banana (1 week before flush) I can stress em out good and make em produce more trichs. They will do anything to survive and to push them in the end is GOOD!!!

I start clones with 300-400ppm @.5 conversion and it works great!

A few days, your clones on working on roots, not top growth. It takes 10 days before my RDWC girls start to take off. relax :)

You are 100% wrong

Clones have been using their energy to make new roots in the cloning medium. You can and should start clones with nurtients, 300ppm is a great starting point.

Never seen a clone dislike nutrients from day one, I would not advise starving your freshly rooted cutting.

They are not seedlings, please stop spreading bad information.

P.S. You feed real babys, not starve them. Your statements are riddled with bad information, do some more reading please before giving advice. I do respect your experience and effort.

Yes, feed your babies.

I start on 1.5 EC and increase .1 EC each week in a 600W HPS 36 plant SOG, ebb/flow 3x3 table.

Thank you I thought I had started drinking or something.

lol nice to see all the replys.... yes i have a ph meter and tds meter and i went based off GH website for seeds and new cuts 2.5 ml per gal, which came out to 400ppm. After first feeding ppm dropped to 340 and ph rised from 5.6 to 5.8, guessing that's normal being they are eating some nutes so ph would rise a little bit.

I know i'm probly tripping over nothing as it's only been a few days. Now that i think about i remember it taking a good 4 or 5 days and they just took off. Again it's been over 3 yrs since any indoor growing so just a little inpaitent on my part. I usually feed 4 times a day but only after plants start showing some decent growth. Anywways once they start doing there thing will post some pics.

Thank you my brothers Peace

That's no reason to starve them. Dirt is 100% pure food. Rockwool is 100% food free. 400 PPM is a tiny amount of nutes. 1/4 tsp of GH Micro and Bloom is my starting solution for unrooted clones or unsprouted seeds. Works great.
