The Icky Thump 4x8 SOG

So here's a pic of week 3ish of a new cross I've been working with for sometime, its SourDiesel x trainwreck, I like to call it the Icky Thump. It grows giant buds and is a great anytime smoke.

I grow in pure coco in one gallon pots. 72 plants total. Cns 17 Bloom and ripe, liquid karma, canazym and drip clean...I've recently been using bloombastic around week 4-5 all the way to flush and have been impressed with the results. PH at 5.8 to 6.0
I usually use drippers run 3 times a day but have decided to do a little experiment and hand water when pots have consumed around 50% of the water.
Iam shotting for 2lbs per light.

Sweet grow dude! This is basically what I've been trying to do but with 2 seperate 4x4 tables, 36 plants each table with same pot size too. Looking real good so far, how many days in flower are you and how many days does this strain go for?

That picture is right around week 3. I would say this is a 65-70 day strain...you could pull it earlier, but it worth the weight.
I'll see about taking some new close ups with a fancy camera.
funny you should mention colorado, these genetics are from that state.

That's very nice my friend, looks very neat. Every time I see those white pots I want some The strain sounds excellent haven't come across that combination before.

What do you think will be different watering this way?
Are you using a lower EC/PPM mix than when dripping 3x?
What did you notice that has impressed you using bloombastic?

I wanted to see which method of watering produces the most vigorous roots and the differences in yield between drip and hand watering..
I am always running a low EC regimen. I run grow nutes for the first 2 weeks of flower when the stretch is going on. I start somewhere around 1.4 and end at an EC of 1.6. Once the stretch is over it is on to plan bloom nutes with a starting EC of 1.2...they seem well fed with this level. Around week 5 I plan on introducing the bloombastic and bumpin the EC to 1.4. I expect to finish maybe a bit higher then this...1.5 or 1.6.
This reason you havent heard of The Icky Thump is because I am the only grower with it as of now. Once I've had my way with her then i plan on releasing it to the clubs. Its an amazing commercial strain, the high is not devastating though...you can get shit done on it if you know what I mean.

Damn that's a lot of wattage...what kind of power source are u using?

I have a 240 line run into the room that can handle a max of 50amps. I could prob fit 12 or 13 lights total in my space, but 9 seems to be good enough for me. who knows though...maybe one of these days.

Nice man, the bud to leaf ratio on most of your strains looks very good, do you pull fan leaves at all? Never had the pleasure of trying GDP, but have had quite a bit of sour D in various types. One of my favourites right there.
