Seeds in nugs, but no nanners, etc?!?

I have wondered about this for a long time and reading through the forums I see all the information on strains that herm out and get nanners, but nothing on the random bag seed. I have noticed sometimes that I find a seed or 2 in a nug, but no nanners or goups of seeds....Just a random seed. What causes this? I know when the strain herms out and grows nanners, the seeds could be considered feminized, but normally will grow a cluster of seeds. What about the random bag seed here and there?

There are definitely people who know more than me about breeding but,

There was a male flower produced somewhere,or there was an outside source for the pollen. Maybe a grow nearby with a garden full of hermies or males?
A lot of strains when stressed will kick off males flowers. I have noticed that some hermies really have those male flowers hidden on the lower parts of the bud,and the lower buds themselves. Yes....if they were from hermie they will be females with the hermie trait carried over in that seed most of the time. That's all I know.

a seed wont be produced unless it got pollinated.

One teeny male flower amongst a myriad of female ones could be missed, especially if buried with leafs and trichs. All you need is one teeny bit of pollen to touch a pistil and you can get a seed.

one or two seeds isn't so bad, at least the whole thing wasn't seeded.

I'd still say regardless you should grow the seed out and see what ya get, could be a jem.

Some years ago I had a 20 x 15 room stuffed full of budding mama's. I had one hermie from a strain a buddy gave me throw off just a few flowers when I wasn't looking.............the whole fucking crop was seeded. Every bud...all 8 lb's worth reduced to joint weed.

all these scary stories about hermies.... i have had many rooms that had a nanner here or there, and you never get a seeded room. usually its not even viable pollen.

if you find a seed or 2 in your good buds, keep them for sure. a good grower will always be tinkering with makin seeds, and a few seeds in a crop are inevitable when you have males around. the buds i send out almost always have a seed here or there. its the prize in the cracker jack box:tiphat:

Pollen is so tiny and fine (like dust) that it transfers very easily. Unfiltered air intakes can suck in pollen from an outside source (like another grower in the neighborhood who isn't filtering exhaust, or from an outdoor patch). You could transfer it from your cloths if you've been around a flowering male.

Outdoors, wind can carry pollen for miles.

Sometimes nanners are hidden behind buds/foliage and are easily missed (been there, even with careful checking).

Even pets can transfer pollen

Immaculate conception in the grow room?

probably not. (dammit)

one thing not mentioned - males - close and in the neighborhood, but not in YOUR grow.

(said because I have grown males outdoors) -

Best and most likely explanation is a couple of hermi flowers on your girls, but I'd try the Immaculate conception story and see how it goes over with the home crowd.

Shine!

Yer doin phine, lotsa peeps here haven't gotten to havest a plant, let alone find a seed.
