Third Lotto Win since January!!

You guys may recall that I won a thousand bucks beginning of January, and then again around the end of January...well, after a week of nothing but loers, tonight I hit ANOTHER $ 1000.00 win!!

this was also on one of the 20 dollar tickets...the same kind that i won the first thousand on...the other one was a 10 dollar scratch off that gave me the 2nd win...

So my luck has been pretty good....what I want to know is when i hit a BIG one!! These grands are nice, but gone too fast...I need a big winner!!

Best of luck to all scratch off players!!

The next time you'll hit one statistically will be on your death bead. JK, but how much have you thrown into lottery versus return as above poster said. Chance gambling always seemed like a frugal way to spend by me, if you look at the lottery the house holds a distinct advantage, blackjack anywhere from .5% to 5% depending on the rules and if you can count card or know basic strategy, sports gambling which is my forte from 3.5% to 10% but can be less depending on bought points. I'll answer the question for everybody about me I just started this year have put in $1500 total, reloaded only 3 times, have won a total of 7013.50, and have a winning percentage of 64% which no long term sports gambler can hold the average for professional is anywhere from 52% to 54%. I only do it in stretches won't be again until march madness is over and the NBA playoffs starts.

Congrats I did hit the big-one some years ago...my life changed in many ways some great some not so great nicest thing about it was I never have to work again for that im thankful
alltho I still work harder now in other ways by keeping myself busy again congrats......ST

Thanks for the replies...to answer the question: So far I think I have lost about 500 dollars on the tickets. I have won 3 thousand, not counting minor wins, such as 100 here and 50 there..so I am still up by quite a margin.

Naturally, this is a fluke...I buy more tickets than the average person so I am more likley to hit a bigger winner..When I have extra money, I tend to buy the more expensive tickets as they tend to pay more.

No one can count on lotto for a living, but since I have no real vices, it is a hobby that has paid pretty well. Hmmm. if my luck is on a roll, maybe I should try mining at some of the local ruby mines here; I live within a stones throw of rich ruby grounds and have found some small but nice stones in the past...maybe a monster ruby is in my future!!

WTG on the lotto.

I play a 5 dollar game that is a crossword puzzle. I seem to win 10-15 bucks 3 out of every 4 tickets. The more expensive games have yet to produce a winner. I hit the 6 number lotto way back in 1992. 5 out of 6 for $3399.00. I've been known to win big at blackjack. I'll be getting back into these things just as soon as I get into another job. The last one made me sick and I quit. Manager would never go for 11 days off in a row, but that's how long it took to beat the flu.

Not if you win, every pick that I choose in sports gambling is researched generally 3-5 hrs. before its done, no blind bets, no chasing (means no chasing losses), I show no emotion hardly whether I win or lose, and I automatically assume I've lost before I bet also I don't watch any of the picks just get the results its strictly by a system I made or formula from excel.

Forgot to include that all my bets are a set amount, I only increase after my bankroll has increased by 125% at that pt. the percentage increases. Right now for example I have a total of approxmaitely $2500 in my bankroll to play with I only make bets of $65. Gambling can be successful venture it's just goes against most human nature and emotions of gamblers to allow it to be so. I've learned from practice earlier this year I made a thread about sports gambling and have since retooled and studied myself into I believe to be a successful recreational gambler. During that time period which was slightly before the NFL playoffs I put in $20 got it all the way to $1750 after the superbowl and went on to lose it all from poor money management.

Gambling is no longer a Real Vice? Peace y'all ... I'm headed for Harrahs at Cherokee ...

If you are close to cherokee you are close to me...I live near Franklin....good luck at Harrah's....they do not have live dealers there...all machines...some machines have staff there but no table games yet....they have been debating allowing alcohol there...it is not legal on the reservation...Indians have to drive to Sylva to get booze..

i have gambled more then 1 dollar 2 times on horses at maywood when I had a real tip like go to the stables talk to the guys its freaking rigged tip. Other wise I do not know any other way the odds are positive unless buying casino stock counts.

I like little stupid 50 cent bets on who can hit just the 10 pin or who can drive the ball onto but not off an island but I just can't seem to fathom pissing what little I have away on lotto tickets. I have in the past pitched in a buck at work for a group buy but those scratch offs are banker mathematics on the odds.

I used to be fairly into Pachinko in Japan, I would average around 300 to 500 bucks a month, sometimes more. I knew a few pros too.
They've changed the machines now, its a lot harder to make a living off of them.

The bars in Minnesota have pull tabs,
a pull tab card opened up------>
pulltab.jpg

A fresh 'box' is opened with typically 3,300 cards in it, cards cost usually .50 or $1.00; the following example is a fifty cent box, each box has its breakdown displayed & larger winners are ticked off as they're paid out so gamblers can have a look at the remaining odds.

ScreenHunter_01Mar230319.gif

It's easy to see that the $15 through $115 prizes add up to $884 then of course there are dozens of $5, $2, & $1 dollar prizes totaling close to $1000 of payout.

Considering that there are $1,650 worth of .50 tickets in the box that's a VERY good return for lottery style gambling.

If that were a $1.00 pull tab box there'd be lots more big winning tickets.......
