Hey guys, started my first grow a week or so ago. Growing some Onyx and Russian Rocket Fuel, Both autoflowers. They seem to be doing good, only problem is they all seem to be drooping quite bad.

Here are some pictures of the 3 plants, 2 Onyx 1 RRF.

These are just various pictures of the 3 plants, as you can see they seem to be drooping, I was thinking overwatering is the problem, but Ive only been watering them with about 2 shot glasses full of water, then I started to see the drooping and started to give them less. These pics were taken yesterday, I gave them about 1 shot glass full of water each today. They seem to be doing okay, but the drooping is still there. I'm not sure if it may also be the soil level in the cups. The soil only goes to about the first line in the cups, 16 oz beer cups. They have barely gotten out of the cups yet, should I cut off some of the cups to let them breathe a bit? I'm not too sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated for the first time grower. I've been looking information it seems that it might be over/underwatering, again I'm not too sure though.

:thank you:

Don't water every day. let them dry out a little before watering again. roots need to breath. You probably dont need to water but 2 or thee times a week.

Well I've been watering like every 2-3 days I try not to water them everyday as to what you said, last time they got any sort of water was the 15th cause thats when I gave them their TEA, got a lil bit of runoff. But other than that havent been watering everyday

In the tea is FoxFarms Happy Frog fruit and flower (1 tablespoon per gallon), and maxicrop plus iron (1/2 Tablespoon per gallon), bubble that for like 5-6 hours. The soil Im using is fox farms ocean forest any help would be great, thanks guys!

feel the petioles (leaf stems) are they stiff?

if the plant is turgid (stiff), don't worry about it,.....some indicas (like yours) just start off kinda droopy in POSTURE, the plant is perfectly healthy, and I find if you run a 24/0 photoperiod you see this more.

look at you tube "time lapse cannabis growing", and you'll see the plants leaf posture going up and down with the light cycles.

yours look good, btw.

thanks reckon appreciate the help! when you say leaf stems, you dont mean the main stem on the plant right? the leaf stems? Ill just touched them, the main stem is pretty hard not too hard, but the leave stems arent really long enough so I cant get a feel for them

Your plants really don't look too bad. I would hold off on the tea for a week or so until your root system is a little more developed.

FFOF doesnt need anything for a couple of weeks. Id suspect you are just feeding them a bit to much right now. not watering to much, feeding to much. back off the tea and go with staright water for the next few waterings and see how they look. Id sispect they will gain lift and vigor.

Good Luck!

Ive used the TEA once in the run so far, so I'll hold off a little until a couple weeks, I watered one to test to see if it underwatering or overwatering. But when I usually water, I only used to water with about 1 or 2 shotglasses, so I'm not sure if its over or under. I'll wait a couple more days to see how each of the plants are, I'm hoping that it is underwatering so I can give thme more to prop themselves up.

your just checking to see if the plant has wilted,....if the petioles, or other soft plant parts feel stiff and springy, then it's not under watered and drooping,...it's just that particular plants posture

I checked them, they are somewhat flexible, definately not stiff from what I can tell. What is this a sign of? Underwatering? The one that I gave the water to doesnt seem to be making any difference, I can't tell if it has wilted more or gotten any better.

Get a dry cup of ffof and feel the weight of the cup. Don't water again until the cups with the plants weigh about the same as the dry cup. When they need water again, water slowly until you get a fair amount of runoff. then dont water again until the soil weighs about the same as the dry cup.

Here are some pictures of the plants, they seem to be doing okay. The one I gave some water too seems to have grown taller, so I have given all of them some water. Here are the pics.

ive actually noticed that plants dont like being under the lid of something , either in a container, or actually planted properly in a container and then placed in a rubbermaid and still under the tops of it were the air is the most fresh. other then that just let them go from almost fully wet to almost fully dry, problem should disapear soon after.

there are 5-6 nail sized holes in the water, using regular tap water PH is about 6.5-6.9.

Castelvetro, are you saying that I should cut the cups so that the level of soil isnt to far away from the top of the container? I can cut a good bit off before they are level.

If you are on a municipal water system you need to bubble it for about 24 hrs or just let it set for about 48 hrs to make sure the clorene evaporates.
