Yes I used couple of males for seed making. Made approx 1000 seeds. Sent 600 to seedbay 50/50 Serverfund/frerbies. They should arrive any day now.

That's funny, I just got done reading your posts in the freebie thread. 
I'm not sure what I have in store for the F99. I kept 5 females and tossed the 2 males this round as I just wanted an idea of what's in the cross. It seems pretty much like what I was after - so I'd like to find a 'stinky pheno' male and hit the F clone with it again... we'll see if the smoke is good enough to warrant any more attention though. I like the hands-on learning thing and all, but I have no desire to waste time on subpar pot! I have too many good beans in the queue.
(Boy though, if she smokes like she looks....)

I do have a pack of F13 that I intend to play with, but I haven't popped them yet. I'm planning that for late summer along with some X18. (Evidently I like to smoke math?)

... the F-99 is my own concoction and is my 'F' fathered by one of my Wallyduck C99 males.
The 'F' is some deadly dank whose origins are unknown. It came to me as a cut and that came from unlabelled seeds. It stinks out loud... I mean like security-risk kinda smelly. It's got a sharp, lime-sherbetish, fuelly/chemmy smell with deep coffee notes later in the cure. Absolutely amazing. Makes a few nanners but never any pollen. I suspect it's a Sour Diesel based cross... but all I gots is my suspicion.

I suppose I should mention that I paired the C99 with the F not just for the flavor combination but for its nice match in effect and flowering time. The F is good anywhere from 55-65 days and it has a very strong, surging mind-wipe sativa effect. The two ought to reinforce one another nicely. We'll know in a few weeks, I suppose... learning is fun!

hehe... don't worry unc, as you can tell by my post times I'm not exactly the type who needs any help staying awake. I've never had the slightest twinge of love for uppers of any kind... just not my bag.

Thanks for stopping in, and thanks for the kind words. I'm definitely wishing I'd made more than 37 of these F-99 seeds. I'm vegging another F up right now, with luck the pollen still has some viability left.

Judging by these 5 females, this one is a bit of a recessive phenotype. The other 4 are pretty uniform - two are highly citric, one much like the F and one more lemony (FSGum.) The other two are mixed-tropical/fruit punch - one dead-on fruit punch and one kinda flintstones-vitaminish.
All 4 stretched to twice the node spacing this one did, and are growing much more like the F (mother) in branch structure and general 'attitude.' This first pheno is clearly a shorter, low-odor, bushier phenotype from the C99 side. It's finishing in line to go 50-52 days.

I clipped some lowers from her at day 45 to test and had the privilege of doing so today. The low odor is a ruse; this is a wolf in sheep's clothing.
It's a nice mix of the face-ripping power of F and the high trajectory of C99. It feels like it's lifting you up by the inside of the top of your skull, with a little bit of a body component in the chest. Very high energy, chest-thumping buzz. It doesn't just make me want to do something, it makes me want to do something strenuous.
The potency is notable. I didn't tell my roommate what we were smoking today. All he could say by way of comment was "dude, what the fuck did you just do to me?"
(Bear in mind he smokes my herb daily.)
I'm not gonna go all declaring this and that until I get a more unbiased opinion - not to mention a finished plant - but I think this is good weed.
(Did I mention this was a day 45 sample?)

Well... I dunno what I want to do with this thing. I'm probably keeping it, but it's not what I wanted to make with this cross. The other 4 are what I wanted to make with this cross. It all depends on those I guess, and whether they're as powerful as this one is.
I intend to continue this learning experience in breeding by working the F99 both forward and backward. Learning by doing, and making some real nice beans in the process. If this one's worthy, it'll either stay in the pool or be its own thing.
I wonder what would happen if I hit it with some more C99 pollen...
(Edit: Oh, and those nice purple calyx tips... gotta be C99. There's no purple in the F at all, under any conditions.)
