No basketball threads?

My boys at UW pulled out a big win, but my brackets are shot to hell.

Once again, Big East looks to be soo overrated.

Pretty boring year, the field is as weak as it has ever been. I doubt anyone but a 1 or 2 seed is in the final four. I just hope Kentucky loses, Calipari is a sleezeball.

Not a KY fan, and definitely not a Calipari fan. He cost us the title, then took our team when he left. Hate to admit it, but they look like the best team this year....

They are definately the team to beat this year. They have what it takes to win it all but if there is any weakness to this team, it is that they are young. Inexperience may be their undoing this year but dont expect them to go down to Cornell or WVU (especially with Bryant out :badday:).

Calipari si a sleazy coach and has demonstrated such everywhere hes been. Vacated Final Fours at UMass and Memphis (btw hes the first coach to ever accomplish this at 2 schools ). And I wouldnt be suprised to see him do it yet again at pUKe.

He does have a little common sense though, he did drop William 'World Wide' Wesley from his staff... a move in the right direction. WWW, either directly or through famous basketball players (Lebron, Carmelo), gave these kids perks to come to Memphis. CDR, Dozier, and Tyreke all benefited unfairly from wWW in one way or another. Hopefully this issue is resolved but I think thats unlikely. WWW makes too much money off endorsements from these kids. He will be back and Calipari will likely have another asterik by his name.

The bottom line is that the NCAA Clearinghouse needs to make stricter rules and actually punish coaches and boosters for illegal recruiting. They know its happening and they refuse to change their policy. It's not fair to the colleges, fans and mostly the players that this still happens. :2cents:

You have no idea of what you're talking about. Like most of the Calipari bashers. What a stupid post.
