Well another way of looking at what they're really saying is it won't change this war with the cartels if marijuana is legalized. They're financed through cocaine distribution so tax revenues wouldn't make up for whatever public strain marijuana legalization would bring.

eventually the Government and mostly already is into Prostitution, Gambling, Drug Dealing/Pharmasuticals... You name it if there is money the Gov't wants a piece of it. And there is big money in these criminal enterprises.

Even if it isn't the biggest blow, anything that eats at them from the inside is a good thing.

Personally, I'm all for the legalization of all drugs. It's not like everyone's gonna start doing a lot more or less because it's legal or illegal. If someone's gonna do it they're gonna do it. Might as well create legitimate jobs and tax the drugs.

Dunno, I guess politicians think they're supposed to parent us.
