Herb Grinder

If your getting this Sharpstone below where the teeth are metal, this is a great investment. But you have to make sure the teeth are metal and there are ridges on the outside of the grinder for grip on your fingers.

If you get the shitty Sharpstone plastic grinder, the teeth have broken off for me. Plus the grinder was small so I couldn't put alot, the weed I was using was super-bomb and would stick to the teeth, and the grinder didn't have ridges on the outside so wet bud would never spin. Alot of headaches just to save a few dollars.

Get the best kind, all metal teeth and grooves on the outside for your palms. You should be fine!

Sharpstone's in my opinion are your best bang for your buck cost me $25 with shipping included to obtain a 5 piece that is still working till this day. I think it's been over 2.5 years since I got it, a lot of herb has gone through that thing. I also had a 3.5 inch one that I gave to a friend after a years use and his still works he's had it for about 4 now.

I got one from everypipe.com for $40 and even at that cost it was worth every penny. It shreads the shit out of the freshest dank nugs...

I got like a 2" sharpstone. 5 piece, 2 screens, I love it. $35 bucks w/ a pollen press. I could do without the press but the grinder is a must for any smoking trip.....

I had the 2.25" 4pc sharpstone for almost a year, worked good. I bent a tooth on an ultra dense m39 nug. then broke the tooth off trying to straighten it. It is a good grinder for the money, just dont abuse it and it will probably last a long time. It was too small for me too though, can only fit like a gram in comfortably, plus it was physically too small for me, it was awkward to use with my big hands.

now I have a 3.25" 4pc mendo mulcher I bought on ebay for like $50 or so. I love it, best grinder I've ever used

Weird - I have a grinder that looks just like the SharpStone (except the 2nd piece down is black on the outside) but it is called SharpEdge. I got it in a small shop in Denver that claimed to be the sole US distributor. It was $29. Might be a knock off, but it is a well made knock off.

I really like this grinder a lot. The kif screen is a great idea and I like the way it breaks up the bud - it is really "fluffy."

The only complaint I have is that the center part where the magnet holds the loose top piece will collect a flat circle of nug that doesn't get ground unless you open it up and move it away from the center. Not really a big deal at all though.

Does anyone know the mesh size of the screen?

A friend gave me his SharpStone (exact one in that pic) because the screen was clogged. Gave it a quick cleaning and it's the best grinder I have. I had no idea they were a popular brand, until I saw this topic. She does the trick.

My friend ordered his off ebay and the kif screen fell through the first grind! It was real shitty. The thing about space case is it will last your whole life if the pigs dont get to it. I just picked up a new titanium one for 70$ cause the pigs took my last one, I really can't live with out my space case, I swear by them

My large aluminum sifter space case is like 5 years old and shreds like brand new, pollen press came with it as a package on ebay. I want a new large titanium sifter, cause titanium is sweet and I'm a dumb consumer, but I can't warrant a purchase for something I don't need when the old one works just as well still.
My medium titanium is over a year old and travels great.
I'm thinking about getting a scout case for when I'm walking around.

I have no idea about sharpstone but it looks like a knockoff space case. Why go cheap on something that is going to last for so many years? Spending the extra money on equipment is always worth it, because quality equipment pays for itself. These things are going to depreciate over my entire life. :)

Good luck!!!

I have many grinders from Cosmic, Space Case, Mix n Ball, One Drop and others. ATM, on Ebay, one can get the larger Mix n Ball or a medium Cosmic for ~$20 - an absolute steal for the performance. I have both and would choose either over my Space Case any day of the week.

IMO i really like SPACECASE or Cosmic a lot better than sharpstone grinders. The teeth are much sharper and less likely to break. Also the screen for the kief is better made..

my 2 cents

never tried that grinder. ive seen one called a mendo mulcher and ive used ones that arent worthy of explanation. hands down the best ive used was a space case. looks pretty much identical. just make sure you keep the threads clean.

Another thumbs up here for Space Case. I have the titanium grinder/sifter which goes through even the stickiest buds like butter. Have to be careful to not make too many turns or you get powder :D
