What's new

early wonder skunk & big bud, first grow

last night i reburried her up to her leaves, and hope that she will grow, she is now under 24/0 lights, since i dont have a timer yet, but hopefully i will soon, but its an AF so ill be going 20/4 anyways, so it doesnt matter as much i believe.

i havent seen any signs of growth yet, but i believe that her leaves are starting to reach towards the lights. that or they are witering and curling up, WHICH WOULD MAKE ME VERY SAD.

anyways, do tell me your thoughts and any questions are appreciated!

Hey christoph!!! i don't think you'd have to bury her deeper, if its an auto, they grow strange anyways..i grew an easy-ryder so I have a little experience..i hope!!if its too humid, try finding Zeolite..its very cheap and really is good for soaking up moisture..you can find it at any hardware store..home depot, home hardware( thats where I got mine)...
just be patient grasshopper!!
I'd love to see your art..I once hung around with one of the Reid brothers..big time artists in Native culture..did weekends with him many, many years ago..awesome artist!!
here is a pic I drew awhile back..not my original but thats the stuff I like to draw
Take care bro..please keep asking questions..

awesome dude! I helped Bill Reid carve some canoes and totem poles when i was younger :p he was a very good family friend! was sad when he passed away, huge ceremony for him though. i dont draw huge animals, just random sketches of animals faces, a couple of whales, and masks and whatnot, im actualy gathering some supplies to start a mask carving soon.

but anyways, back to the main topic here, weed being as it is XD

ill look for that stuff at my canadian tire XD. and its not that its grown strange, its that it super germed in 5 days, and i hadent checked on it... so it had grown about an inch or two long, and was all twisty because it was kept in complete darkness, thus it didnt know where to go for light, and went all twisty :p

but i already burried her deeper, all the way to the neck, heres a pic:

alright guys, well, quick update, my plant has started too come out of shock a bit, and has grown a tiny bit. unfortunatly, 2 out of 4 tips of the leaves are turning yellow, i think this might be from over watering, so im going to not water for a couple of days.

im also in coco soil, with no nutes in it. ive been watering with plain tap water that i have left out for a week or so. im using the dr. bud method and dunking it in a cup with about cup of water, i think.

any comments would be REALLY appreciated.

Do you have a ph tester?? You REALLY need one for sure....plants are finicky about proper ph..
My tap water is 7.8!! Thats horrible..I let it sit for 2 days then adjust the ph accordingly..
Ph for bud goes anywhere from 5.5 all the way to 6.8 depending on the medium you use...
Let me know..

i tested it with one of those aquarium paper testers, and it said around 6.9 for straight out of the tap, so i let it sit, and it went down a bit, but those things arent really reliable, i dont think.

i just repotted her into some nice soil with a bit of vermiiculte in it, and it has plenty of nutrients, i bought some 20-20-20 nutrients, and it made her happy for the few days she was in that coco. i plan to go all natural with her, and use some high nutrient based bat guano from my local nursery.

ive also moved her VERY close to the light, the bulb is only hot if you touch it, anywhere near it, it's just warm, not even toasty. she has grow two more leaves, and i believe is starting on her second node production, there are about 4-6 small leaves growing in the middle!

im very excited, and ill figure when to post some pics later, ill probubly borrow my friends really nice DLR or whatever its called, the nikon d3000.

please gimme ur thoughts and comments, any new followers are VERY welcome.

thanks for droppin by BC Chron, very gratefull ur here to help me out :) just wish i could steal a couple of your fans.

just adding some pictures to my last post!

first pic is the color from my camera, not actual color.

the plant has started growing its second node full on now, producin around 6-8 new leaves!! im very excited about my plant recovering!

but unfortunately, im unsure about the temperatures and humidity in there... what should i do to lower humidity? without making any noise, or leaving the house?

my temperature is around 15 degrees celsious. but my humidity is at 80%, and this morning i woke up too find it at 90%!!!

help u guys.

Right on christoph!! I new she'd come back bro..sorry I have'nt been around..I'm looking at another place to move..need more room..
90% isn't good at all..can you get some zeolite? Its cheap and Home Depot and Home harware sell it..its volcanic rocks that suck up moisture plus odours...you need to put that roight inside your box for it to work properly though...that much moisture gets in to your lights and isn't safe..plus it will choke the plant or stunt it...
Why don't you move your thread to the micro forums? You'll get more responses too chritoph..I keep forgetting its in the soil threads..just a thought anyways..I know where you are!!
please feel free to ask anything bud...
I do have a 25-49 volt Sunon pc fan if you need one..you need a big power supply though
take care
