that is the product of your imagination.
lol...ok, but I think you are the one that keeps stating something about "in my imagination"...
yes, they have to tell you...

in the beginning of the sentence, you stated, "I know for a fact..."
by the end of the paragraph, you state, "I am not for certain..."
And the fact I was referring to, I do know as such...

Funny how they state exactly what I was suggesting...
I suggest you work on your own coherent sentences before you start taking my sentences out of context trying to prove a point.

because you actually havnt researched this field as extensively as you present. maybe...
in any event, your bias against feed grade molasses has been duly noted.
Look, I have known about molasses all my life. I know folks who actually make molasses. I have used molasses in feed for years, and when I discovered that molasses had a horticultural benefit, I wanted to find out the worth of the stuff that I have always known about in the feed store. And what I found was that there is indeed a difference in what you get at the feed store and what you get at the grocery.
All I am doing is passing on what I know about the product.
I have no bias against feed grade blackstrap...what I am doing is providing a caution...which IMO is far better advise than saying;
feed grade fine. END.
You got a copy? OVER. (lol)

whether gardener looks for further data from mfg or not is up to them, not hoosierdaddy, nor *mistress*...
Be nice to know there could possibly be an issue if a person is on the fence with a decision, yes? What is this place for anyway?

fact is, can find all sorts of ultra-organic animal feeds, even more reported & filtered, etc than many ferts...
Of course you can, nobody suggest otherwise. And you can also find mixtures that would not be the best for horticultural use.

Commenting on your nutrient profile offerings is pointless, as that is really moot to this discussion.

Great thread!

I use Humboldt Honey ES. Its basically molasses but it has other organic beneficials included.

I start adding it to my nute solution at 1 tsp per gallon at Week 4. So they get 3-4 feeds with the molasses in it.

Then as a final feed, I mix Big Bloom, Liquid Karma and Honey ES together ....mix the hell out of it.....and its the only time I don't correct the pH as it really begins my flush. When they dry out, I flush em hard with my delicious well water and 7 days later, the product comes down and its rockin!!!

I haven't done it on a side by side comparison, but I know my yields are a lil bit better than they used to be. I also think it helps bring out the plants natural aromas and is far better than adding a flavor enhancer like Sweet, FloraNectar.....etc.

a 2 second pour per gallon, only on feeding days. i think they like plain ol water on their off days, and i dont think the girls give a shit how much they get. there is a point where its hard to get the molasses to dissolve in the water, somewhere after a tablespoon, and that is where i dont go. dont want globs on top of my soil.

Molasses makes a good foiliar additive mix at 1 teaspoon per gallon and it will work OK at repelling pest by feeding microbes thus creating a protective bio-film on the leaves. It also is a great food source for the microbes in compost, guano, worm casting tea or any other kind of tea.

the sugar in the molasses def attracts the bugs bro. does not repell.

Too much of a good thing can be bad!
On my last grow, I used 1 loaded teaspoon per litre every other watering(mid-flowering)- it was too much and killed her within 2 weeks. I've never seen a plant die so fast - it showed signs of ph and nute lock before giving up on life completely. Maybe only got 1/2 oz from a plant that was lokking like giving 2-3 oz
Another harsh lesson learnt.
Any other disasters with molases the "wonder" additive?
