Ive got a sativa plant came from an old seed.I didnt take any clones,Sigh ,And the girl turned out very special!!!!!! All the branchs have ,golf ball size nugs on the tips! IF I cut a branch trim it up to make a clone should I leave the nug or snip it off!! Help ! Will this work?Or do I cut most off the Plant off and revegg it,then cut a couple a clones to keep her going? Ive been growin over 20 years this is the first time its ever happened to me! Now I believe as I had already been told,IF you dont know what you are planting take a couple a clones jus in case its SPECIAL! Thanks in advane Chuck!!! Is there anybody out there?:tiphat:

yeah of course you can. i use the lower popcorn budsites and i leave the bud on. i was also told by VerdantGreen, that he leaves the small bottom branchs on, i dont. just find a small bottom branch which is at least 6 inchs with 2 or more nodes. scrape the outside of the bottom of the cut and cut it vertically to split the stem about a inch. i hardly ever have one fail.

yes, its called revegging a clone. ive taken a clone a few days before i chopped the plant.
take a regular cut, its going to take longer to get it vegged out nicely, but you keep the genetics thats waht matters

try to take the clones from the lower branches or from those in shady sports. they get roots faster.

the further into flowering you are, the longer it will take, and as mentioned above take a lower branch with as little bud on as possible but leave the bud/tip on. take a couple if you can - they take 2-3 weeks to root and then go all mutant whilst they reveg. if that fails, try revegging the plant after chopping. leave a few leaves and lower buds on and either trim the rootball and put in a smaller pot or water very sparingly.

if you really want to save a plant by revegging then you want to chop it on the earlier side rather than late.

cheers

V.

It'll look really weird, but ya you sure can.

yea, it will branch off very weird. i have a few revegged clones flowering now. heres a picture so you can see what its gonna look like. this was a heavy reveg of CH9's. these are at about day 45.

-=- to the left is regular clones... the revegs are on the right

Maaaannnnn. I had to do this once and was still able to keep my mom. :dance013:It did take a while, but what took much longer was finding the right pheno out of 4 packs of beans. I ripped off the buds, and I still got roots. Which way is better/faster rooting if this should happen again to me?

I grow SOG single cola style.

At 2 weeks into 12/12 I trim all lateral growth and use these for clones.

This box of 38 mums all came from clones produced from lateral growth 2 weeks into 12/12.
