Life's Catalysts

Love and Hatred are some HUGE perpetual catalysts to life... let me expand..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We live in an age and time, where stress and hatred has overrun our society.
For thousands of years, we have always combated evil, with evil.. We always try to conquer, dominate, control, destroy, separate...
Once we notice something as being "different" than ourselves, that is the initial onset of hatred and ill intention.
If it were the same as you, you would do everything to foster that relationship and allow it to grow to it's full beauty.
Here is a question to ask yourself:
Is it easier or harder to complement someone, or to bash someone???
This question gives you an instant reflection of your mindset and how you perceive things.. Whatever is easier to you, has become accustomed to your life..
We live in a world that has been perpetuating hatred/stress/ill emotion for thousands and thousands of years..
Do you think it's time for a change?
Example:
You make fun of someone's clothes because you don't understand why they wear them (different than you).. Stress builds up in the person you tried to insult.. that stress gets rubbed off on to anyone who encounters the person who's clothes were made fun of, because that person is in a bad mood.. Now those people have a bit of stress in them, and they are prepared to share this stress with more people..
Do you see how disgusting this cycle is?
It can be the most beautiful cycle ever as well.. You just need to change your perception...
Example:
You give out 100+ seeds of your best marijuana ever. Those recipients will automatically feel better and gain a positive mood. Whoever encounters these people now, will be more fortunate in their encounter.. perhaps that boss would give that raise out.. or that prude girl would put out ;)
It's really about putting that positive intention out into the world. Be very conscious of how you rub off on others, as it may end up affecting thousands of people..
This is why I spend a shit load of time by myself :D.. I'm pretty tired of being stressed out by the world and the problems they perpetuate.. Plus, the more time I spend in isolation, the deeper my understanding of who I am.. Where "who I am" is not tainted from outside influences.
You say you want things to be different in the world?.. Use this tool for self-discovery to find out who you really are, to be the change you see.
~~You have absolutely no right to be upset... ever ;)~~
Thanks guys, much love going out to all y'all on this Saturday afternoon! Man, all I can say is it's the collective consciousness rising that has shed light onto this subject, and it thrills me more than anything to actually see people understand.. Enlightenment is yours my friend. And it is so very very close.
What! I have a right to be upset. Without doing so every now and then I'd snap. :)
Great post though.
There's so much unnecessary negativity and judgement out there and it affects people.
It's equally important not to let someone's negativity affect you though.
Kind of like breaking the chain. :)
The only factor we can't take into account are the ones who go insane for no known reason. Lets take a look at the smily gentleman below:
Can we guess the face of this happy go-lucky guy??? CORRECT! Serial Killer Ted Bundy.
As a child he was a normal, playful kid and most of the detectives and police reports will state that he had a great childhood. But even as "normal" people grow up, we never know what triggers them to do demonic acts of Evil.
With the explosion of the internet and information moving at the speed of light, it is easy for people to read things online and take them in as truth. The internet has killed the newspaper business. Why buy something when you can read it for free?
Well this exposion of information works both ways. For good and bad. If you feel like killing yourself, there are websites dedicated to "releasing the frustrations of this life" and making suicide sound like a theme-park ride. If you typed in "there is no God" there are 5,000 websites of people chiming in that there is no God and people will say to themselves "yeah, there must be no God if there are others that feel the same way I do!" and so the cycle continues.
If you made a website called "God is a purple Dinosaur", I'm sure there are a few dumbasses out there who will really believe that God is a purple Dinosaur! (I'm just using God as an example) but what happens when you get to more sinister things? Like Child Pornography? You see Men having sex with 7 year olds and although it is DISGUSTING AND ILLEGAL, there are sick people who will really believe that "maybe it's not that bad".
The more your mind gets filled with twisted images of Death, Sex, Unnatural acts, and other grotesque images, the more and more you start to see reality in a different light. Then you act on those impulses from what was once a "fantasy" now turned into a reality. And then people are scared to let their kids trick or treat because their daughter has a Princess costume on and she rang the doorbell of a madman who always wanted a Princess as a Sex-Slave.
We're in a difficult period in todays time and I guess we all look a little funny to the next person unless you live in a backwards part of the country (which once upon a time we used to laugh at but doesn't seem so bad anymore) where all the people still know each other and life is much slower. It's hard to restart the cycle of love and affection towards others because you just can't trust people anymore. I decide to open my home or my arms to a stranger, turn my back, and he steals everything out of my house or kills me! LOL.
Great post by the OP. I wish something would change but all we can do is offer our smiles to strangers and give a helping hand once in a while that doesn't involve us really getting to know someone because that person might have a different agenda and try to harm us. It's gotten really bad now'adays. But it's not like that all over the world. There are a few good places left on this planet.
If anyone knows of them though, please let me know! LOL
MoldyFrogToe, lol homey, of course you have a right to be upset.. but like you said, the trick is to "break the chain" of negativity.. and reacting to stress by being upset only fuels the fire..
The best tool that I use to "break the chain" is to understand how karma works.. when someone gets upset, allow their emotions to come out but don't feed their bad emotions with more bad emotions.. Realize how bad that person must be feeling, and celebrate and embrace them with warmth and love for the fact that they just got rid of some stress or bad feelings.
Through the perpetuation of love and hate, I've realized that to stop hatred, it stops on your doorstep and you don't let it in to nurture it. But you always welcome love and new ways for love to come in.. and pretty soon, you'll have so much love that it starts to pour out through all the cracks, & on to your neighbors.
Hey socalismoker,
Good point about crazy people.. although all crazy people are not evil. The only thing I can say about it, is why do you think they go crazy in the first place? Perhaps it is the environment we live in, that makes us go crazy.. Hell, I almost feel like I'm about to go crazy with how overwhelming this world has become... saturated with bad vibes. Yuck. Crazy people can not come to terms with reality.. so they create their own reality. Perhaps Ted Bundy was just like you and me, until he became so overwhelmed with society, that he fabricated his own reality of his perception of the world.. If these negative influences did not leave an impression upon Ted, perhaps he would have been a totally different person.. I believe even crazy people who do wrong things, ultimately will learn their lesson, even if it takes a long long time for them to see the connection to "sow what you shall reap"..
And to the few good places... Lol, I've told myself I'm going to live on an island by myself, self-sustained.
Sometimes I think there is no wrong or right in the world. We have just created these things in order to all get along and get what we want without hurting others. But that doesn't necessarily mean that killing is WRONG, it is just something you can avoid doing to make others happy, which is an act of kindness. And our society works well when kindness comes before hatred.
It all depends on how you look at life. And that is what makes life so crazy; everyone has a different perception and a different system of beliefs on what is best for the world. And some people don't think at all about what is best for world and only think about what is best for them!
But the concept of peace is something that most people, when faced with it's true, unconditional nature, find to be absolutely necessary in a world so full of uncertainties. I really hope that the future of our world is a bright one.
