so the game has been out since March 9 ( i got my copy the night before at the midnight release!!!) what does everyone think about it? how far have you gotten?

I've been playing Final Fantasy X for the past 4 days (one of my favorite games ever) but then I bought the sequel and Final Fantasy has just been getting more and more complex and taking the fun out of the game.
The sphere grid on FFX and the characters/story line was an incredible shift into the new age but it was pushing the limits. After I played the newer versions, I turned the game off and found it stupid. Yuna and the characters were cool but then it added special features to each character to unlock and other difficult to master options and took the fun out of the game.
When I saw Final Fantasy 13 on TV last night on a commercial, it looked like a MOVIE now, no resemblence to anything I've played before, and they took away what made the game great. In my opinion. I no longer play Final Fantasy anymore, but I'll always play the ones I own. Dating back to original Playstation.

lol i really have nothing to say to that socal!! i understand where your coming from but I just wont play the game because its more complicated.once you get used to it, its pretty fun.
Final Fantasy X-2 was just girly,and was there to satisfy the love story in X. ( i played the mess outta that too) X was so good tho, the story, the gameplay..omfg... i teared up at the end.
ff7 & 8 ....soooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
i cant seem to focus on this right now...im a tad bit high from hash..
but yea try out the game tho..its really good once you get used to how they set it up this time

7 Was the best. They will never top that game. I watched 13 till it came out. Saw the review, only got an 8.5? I expected better. How is the experience so far?
I may have to rent this to see if I will go out and shell 60 for it.

Holy shit guy! That is a sweet tat. Did you not get chills when you FINALLY made it to sephiroth? Man, I will never forget the music they had to that boss fight!

I am enjoying ff13 alot right now much better than anything to come out since X i am kinda likin the real time thing, though sometimes im too high for it and have to turn battle speed to slow
As far as the direction ff is taking i think there is alot of good and inevitably some bad. Im not huge on how linear this game is seeming so far (just got to chapter 6) but im really enjoying the "paradigm" thing they got goin on. anywho morale of the story is change isnt a bad thing
my faves have been 7,6,10,9 prolly in that order but maybe not

I have been following the game and found that it is 60+ hrs long. I also read that 3/4's the way through the game changes from being so linear. I guess they did it for storyline purposes and it will make sense when you get there. I am still waiting to go out for it. Need to play out GOWIII

I stopped after this final fantasy because theirs no game better than this and that franchise wont make a better one than this.

For all you Final Fantasy 7 gamers, if you want to cry you should check this kid out!! He is on the Piano TEARING IT UP with the Final Fantasy Music!!! It looks like at first (for the first 20 or so seconds) that it's not even him doing the music it's just playing in the background but you'll see like 45 seconds into the video he does almost 6 or 7 different kinds of music from the Video game.
If you enjoyed that game, you'll love this kid. Check this video out!!!! DAMN he rocked the house!!

Think the first one i rocked was final fantasy X with Jact at the end i MISS THE TURN BASED old school style of fighting...Building the super weapons and leveling up for days in a desert trying to catch all the cactus

My last fight is with Sin (it sucks the game is almost over) but I still love Blitzball! Go around Spira and try to recruit the best players!
I did it all, breeding, knights of the round summons, as well as enough money to buy the beach house property they never let you see! Poor arith....LOL! SOundtrack...
