The XXL's are the best reflectors out right now if you have the space...

SICK!!!!!!! I am diggin the ice boxes! Awesome set up! Thanks for sharing!

I was going to go with a Yield Master 2(YM2) Supreme eventually but I really like the XXXLs, especially "El Ocho". They had one set up at my local hydro shop. Great light distribution!

Yeah, watercooled@, Wow that is a sick set up with ice boxes and the heat shields and the plumbing for all that on the roof, just wow. How well do the ice boxes work in that set up?

I run 4, 6inch magum xxxl's with 1000's in them, and 2, yield master II's with 600's in them. It really lights up my area well :) Could not be happier or complain.

I'm running 600's that's why I was thinking of going with the yield master supremes. Wouldn't the xxxls be too big for 600 watts?

Pico used a light meter with the XXXL, its one of his last tests in his thread if not the last. Kind of hard to find unless you use the search the thread.

The Magnum XXXL tested the best out of all the hoods he tested with the Super Sun 2 coming in a close second.

It was tested in Pico's thread, but unfortunately the testing methodology isn't really applicable to a garden where the hoods hang closer to the canopy. Thanks, regardless.

Interestingly, the SS2 performed fairly poorly at 10-12" in my own testing with limited spread and dispersion. The folks in Peco's thread used 18" as a minimum distance; I've read his thread several times and plotted out all the data points. They just have no correlation with the way the reflectors are used in my space and I'd caution others against following the findings without considering their individual situations. Otherwise, there's a distinct possibility of compromising yield and efficiency, in lieu of opting for an alternate reflector.

They work great! I can put my hand on the glass and just "feel" warm so the lights will stay within 6" of the tops. Can't beat that.

There is no chiller in this setup, it cools with a well that returns to a second well. There are two small water cooled marine a/c's that help with cooling since the well supplies only 70 degree-ish water.

I have installed over 30 of the XXXL both 6 and 8. I run a few myself. given the foot print, ability to keep very cool and will built, I think they are a great investment. If you are going to run more than 4 on one duct line, get the Ocho, The 8 inch.
solid units, very happy users.

I picked up a 6" Magnum XXXL, and I love it.

The light dispersion might be a little too large for the 4x4 tray, there is a lot of light spillage. I vegged using the hood with a 400w CMH and it was absolutely beautiful. I will be switching over to the 1Kw Eye Horti this weekend

The hood runs exceptionally cool, I can put my thermometer on the hood and there is no change over ambient.

I removed the glass from mine and am now even happier.

I am looking at purchasing the non-aircooled version in lieu of Adjust-A-Wing's. The Agrotech Magnum is the same 95% reflective surface without all the white metal on the standard Magnum. and the retail price is only $130
