my other memory from my childhood is the Challenger explosion lol, I remember when I was a kid I had a toy model Challenger space shuttle that shot sparks out the back when you rolled the wheels lol.
Oh and I'd like to turn Chernobyl into a big outdoor grow up lol, wonder if they'd turn into mutant MJ plants with 40 pound glow in the darks buds mmmm radiation.

I remember thisvery well, a sad day...anyone remember a article about using hemp to clean the soil around areas like Chernobyl? I think I did read it somewhere..

Great read, my heart goes out to the familys and lives destroyed by the disaster...let us not forget the mistakes of our past, only to repeat them in our future.

When Chernobyl blew, one guy swam under water and manhandled the radioactive material to stop a total meltdown. He died within a few weeks.
To my shame, I can't remember his name, it's a sorry world where he is forgotten but useless people like Paris Hilton make the headlines.

i followed this girl a couple years ago, Im pretty sure her vids were turned into a video game by some Russian kids, they used her vids to make the game. Anyone that looks into the Chernobyl incident will probably run across her site, glad its still up. Im gonna bookmark it so I dont lose it. The amusement park is crazy.

I think if he had actually handled the almost melting-down core material, he would have died within a day or so.
