Drying question

Been growing for a few years now. I've always dried my herb in a completely dark area with gentle ventilation. Now that I've upsized a bit my "area" has disappeared which leads me to my question

I know that light has a negative effect on THC, but is it DIRECT light, or light in general. I'm getting ready for my next harvest (staggered) and was thinking of hanging my crop above my hood, out of direct light contact, but still "in" if you know what I mean.

Anyone drying their herb this way? Any problems or loss of taste/potency?

temperature would be a factor.. I am sure the direct light would have more of a detrimental effect than indirect light, but dont really know how much the indirect light would effect it...

something i have always wondered... my plants are dried in indirect light; at least enough to make you reach for the light switch to be able to read. it works for me.

Been hanging my buds above my lights for years and never a complaint. I keep one of my exhaust fans running 24/7 to avoid any nightly build up of humidity.

i test dried a bud in the top of my tent with the light on, it lost all flavour, still did the job but didn't have any real taste to it
