Serious Seeds AK-47... need long veg?

I just got a pack of SS AK-47 and was wondering once I find a mother and start cloning her for my cab, how long will I need to veg each one if I'm growing 12 plants under a 600watt in 8.5 sqft?

I read SS webpage and it says that AK will yield 350-500g/m^2 which is about 276-395g for my 0.79 m^2 flwr chamber.

It gives me about 70 w/sq ft of light.

The pots are about 1.5 gal-2gal, I have to measure them. But they are are 8.5"tall and 9" in diameter.

I'm going to have them in 3x4 config under my aircooled hood.

1.) Do I need to veg to about 10 inches or 12 inches?

2.) Also how much will they stretch? 2 times? 1.5X or 2.5X?

3.) Does AK do well with LST, topping, and/or scrogging?

Is it not possible to get 1gpw because they can only do 500g in 1 sqm and I only have 0.79. Or do I need to do more like 50 watt/sq ft and get more plants in there or veg these out larger?

PS: I have hit 1gpw with other strains in other configs, I'm just trying to plan this one out and noticed this little discrepancy.

My experience with AK-47 is that it yields big regardless. It's stretch is closer to 1.5 than 2.5. It works well in a SOG, and responds well to training (SCROG, LST, etc.) because it tends to get real "bushy" if topped and given extra veg. time. Our mom comes from '96 or '97 seedstock, and is a great plant. Yields big, smells superfunky, and turns almost black if given proper flower time (65-72 days). It also packs plenty of punch. From your experience with your pheno, does she feed lightly or heavily/in between?

ive grown ak 4 times and they stretch to 3 times the original height. but it also fills in completely, i mean, it goes from this long, stretched out plant to completely bud filled stalks. my advice to you is let them grow normally with no trimming or pruning.

just know that 12'' plant when thrown into flower mode is going to result in a 3ft bush. so make sure you go enough room cause they will fill any available space.

ak feeds heavy; hydro wet dream. very forgiving plant that like simon says, very easy to grow.

remember to start off light and work the nutes up.

Sorry to come crashing in like this, but how many pheno´s are there in SS´s AK-47 ?

I got 10 beans as a freebie, popped one yesterday, after hearing so much good stuff about it I´m looking forward to grow it !!!
