SUPER NEWBIE CFL STEALTH MICROGROW

The photo shows a plant that didn't get enough light early on. Did you just raise it closer to the lights recently? Keep it close as you can and it should recover. Tall, spindley seedlings are a result of either not enough light or the wrong spectrum (too much red). Used to see that all the time in the '70's when people thought they could grow with incandescent bulbs. With only 2 bulbs I'd be vegging under 6500 K and skip the 3000 K.

You could add more light but you've got 46 watts in 0.68 SF of space. That calculates to 67 watts/SF which is not too bad. I've seen other micro setups be sucessful with that amount of light. Just remember with CFL's it's important to keep light as close to the plant as you can. The lumens drop-off is substantial.

Thanks for all the good advice guys, i made some changes to my routine and am seeing much better results...I'm now using Schultz basic 10-15-10 formula and its loving it.Here we are at about 3 weeks from seed...Had a rough week and decided to transplant her(hopefully) into some Pro-Mix from the depot, and it's looking a hell of alot better. Its been under 24 hour lighting from the start and am hoping to veg it long enough to get a clone ? What yall think?

Is it possible to get a gram per watt outta this enclosure...I've only got 46 watts total.....am i crazy?:plant grow:

Set Your goal high and aim higher

What SHOULD i expect?

You shouldnt get caught up in all the numbers, theres never any guarantees and you will only be disappointed when you shouldnt be because you will have very fine smoke

When should i switch to 12/12??????

Id flip it now, to determine sex. Then if it was a female, id revert it back to veg, and take clones. If its a male then no time was wasted and just crack more seeds

I flipped mine at about 5 or 6 inches tall (my 1st trial grow under 111 watts CFL). They ended up about 22 inches long from soil to the end of the main cola, LST'ed, but this will also depend on the strain.

Good luck, stay safe, happy gardening.

Stretching

Stretching

She starting to show her sex and im convinced its a female,
Starting to strech alot...so well see what happens...updated pics will be coming soon.

if you start running out of room, just tie her down a bit...make sure you do it before you water so that the stem is soft and ready to bend without breaking. looks like you have plenty of room though, so i'd just suggest elevating her a bit but you have to be careful with the stretch, sometimes it's unpredictable.
