Hello everyone,

Welcome to my mossy jem grow log. I'll try my best to keep updates as often as i can. I poped 10 seeds from 20 that i have, i was going to run all 20 at once, but i really have nooo room for these. However, 10 got wet, i have 9 seedlings in dirt right now.

We will call this week one. I'll answer questions about set up if anyone really wants to know.

Other than that, i'll just take er as she comes. Should be lots of photos i am digging the wifes new camera, takes spectacular pics.

On to the pics, i hate to be that guy who posts the seedling pics so early, but i'm excited to run the jems. so here we go

The ones in the cups are jems of-coarse.. 7 look good 2 are runty. I didn't see much of a point in taking a load of seedling pics, they look the same as any other at this point.

Dirtdraggin: Welcome to IC, hope you find it as usefull a tool as i have. This is my first try with the jems. I fell in love the first time i laid eyes on them. I have been waiting to run the jems for months.

I planted 10 of these last week and I will plant more as soon as my next seed order arrives. I am posting about other things, and am excited to see what BH comes up with...especially want to see his pics of the buds before harvest and after drying. I will want to compare with what mine do.

ACBrat, i am just as interested in yours, as you are mine. Will be easyer to see how stable the phenos are. If you got 20 on the go, my 10 now, 10 more once i have room. That is a good selection IMO. Cheers.

Weekly mostly, If things get interesting i'll do more. Pretty much ask and they shall receive.

What soil and newts you going to use?
Promix HP as a base, enhanced with welcome harvest organics addatives Super grow, Flower Power, Kelp, Worm casting, Langbeinite for cal mag.
I will water with Pure Blend Pro, using their whole line up. The soil will be good so i will only water with nutes when needed. I am not going to bubble teas for these, as it's my first run. I need a measureable nutrient profile.

What is your light?
400 watt MH right now, they will probably end up in the flower room under a 600HPS. We'll see what happens.

Update time.

Good evening, and good day.
I thought since a week has gone by, i would post up a few pics. They are just starting to get going at this point so i can't really say who is going to be nice. I am expecting to have some sexed by this time next week. They will also be going into their final 2 gal grow bags next weekend. I like to sex them before i put up all that dirt.

That's about all i have to say... stoned and find myself staring off wondering what to type.. so i will get to the point.

The runt, this lil one is having issues, but seems to be slooowwwlly growing out of it. I could mush this lil sucker with a dime if i wasn't careful. The other one was just like this, i usually axe ones like this, and was in the process of doing so. When i stopped and thought "Wait.. give it a chance, what's to loose?" So here it is, for shits and giggles. Ther other runt didn't get so lucky, it is now compost.

So you got an ok germ that is good. They look very good for so young. about the runt.. you might want to keep it if is starts to grow out of it. I have seen them turn out ok, but then again it will always be smaller then rest.

the 16oz beer cups, they work great for sexing, I do the same. But I transplant as early as possible after showing sex. That first female flower shows they get transplanted OR you can run the risk of stunting them.

As for sexing them by next week,, JEMS is a late sexing / fast flowering AF type. They usually show sex around Day 21-25, then finish flowering around Day 65.
