im looking for a strain from my childhood. a manitoba classic roadkill skunk.

in one monster cola, in 1 1 ounce bag, i found 3 very unique immature seeds, at the stage of ripening, so they were hard but not brown, really pale with watermelon streaks just showing brown not black.

the strangest thing is that the seeds were like peas, atypical to most canadian indoor varieties. i mean they were monsterous and round, not the watermelon shape, but like a pea or golf ball, perfect circles.

my only guess would be big bud, the skunk pheno, or a rare sk#1 from north america. if anyone has seen, heard or knows about what i mean, please keep me posted, d

I can't really help you but cannabis seeds come in all sizes

I can't remember exactly what the order of the seeds was but there's some columbians on the left, a haze bx, then lebanese, another columbian, african, nepalese and the last one on the right is some northern laos strain.

Lol Dmt, did u get ripped b4 posting this? I had to re-read it 5 times and I think I finally got what you're asking..

That's like finding a needle in a haystack.. If you could describe the offspring of these seeds, it could really help in identifying the parentage.. I'm no expert but I'm sure a few people could take a stab at it once this info is found.

Describe leaf/growth/inter-node patterns, flowering times, growing issues, etc..

Was the bud you found those in grown outdoors?

Feral hemp-fertilized buds around here end up with gigantic seeds. I've seen a cut I grow indoors seeded outdoors and it's beans were 3x the size of the indoor ones I've made with it.

I know this defies conventional wisdom about calyx size alone dictating seed size, but it's a well-known phenomenon to all the outdoor guys around here.

I never know the strain of the bud I get, but I am always surprised at the sizes, textures, and general characteristics of the seeds in it. Do you know if there is a way to tell which strain you have by identifying a seed?

Love your name, btw.

seed growth is directly related to light distance and nutrients.

if they grow retarded it is because you did it.

my gut feeling is your lights are too close.

thanks for the info, the bud was grown in a barn hydroponically in northern manitoba, around 1994-96.

i have found that all seeds' features are dictated by genetics, with minor climate factors.
unless the co2 is cranked and calyxes swell to supernatural proportions.

the bud was huge, lime green and very very strong, so strong the resin would stick to your throat with a sweetness that has surpassed any weed ive ever grown/tried, d

what are you trying to say OP?? are you looking for strains that yield big seeds?? or are u asking what made the seeds big or what?? im confused as heck....also, if those big seeds u saw were immature even though the bag you had was cured, why would u want genetics that do that?? most genetics i know or want have no seeds in flower, or if they did, Id at least want them to mature at the same rate as the flowers. im confused...

Biggest round seeds I've seen....

Satori F2's
Mothership bagseed (unknown cross)
BlueBerry Skunk X Princess Diesel

The satoris were the largest and slightly pale, like you described.

No idea what the smoke was like for any of them. The Mothership bagseed was so poorly grown... it was no indication of what Mothership is like. LOL

Good Luck and....

i would like to know names of strains that have obese and rounded seeds, not watermelon shaped. almost the size of peas, d

the largest seeds i have ever come across were from a strain called Manali in the region, but i know thats not the actual strains name, more a nomenclature for herb like sensi or dank here. manali originates in the himalayans where they grew hash plants, collected the hash from their hands & called it Manali. this is how i uynderstand it anyhow. those manali seeds i scored in mumbai were not quite pea size, but large caper size perhaps. maybe a small pea haha...they were def bigger than aything ive seen to date. the herb was very lightly seeded, maybe 1 per 1/8. was dark green, some brown, & potent as heck.
