I'm working on a 70w HPS PC grow.
Would it be worth it to install a couple PL-L's down low to get a little more light to the plants?

:thank you:

they will give you the ability to add some blue spectrum. I'd aim for 6500K temp / color floros

it could also even out the light distrabution abit,

but id go for 2700k bulbs, but it might just get too hot in there, youll need alot of fans

I had plants/buds growing touching a 24w pll. There was a good fan underneath blowing air up/over the bulb and they didn't burn much, just a little by the end. I'd say they're a bit cooler than equivalent wattage cfl, as a rough guide, but because a 24w covers so much more area than a 24w cfl, the temp is easier to deal with.

I would suggest 24w or less, the higher wattages would probably singe stuff, unless you built a guard screen or something.

The lights with mounts are about 23 inches long, make sure you have the space. 55 watts is the most efficient of them. I am thinking to go vertical in corners of tent, but with lower plants maybe horizontal at sides of tent.
