I recommend you watch all 6 seasons of peep show & if you like the office then 'extras' is a must watch too.

It goes all the way back to Freaks, who'da thunk it ...

"Gabba Gabba Hey" is a catchphrase associated with the punk rock band the Ramones. The phrase is included in the song "Pinhead", which contained the lyrics: "Gabba gabba we accept you, we accept you, one of us". The song ends with: "Gabba gabba hey, gabba gabba hey!....".

The slogan comes from a scene in the 1932 motion picture Freaks, in which the title characters chant the line "Gooble, gobble, we accept her, we accept her, one of us, one of us!" that the band viewed at an art house cinema on a rare day off when an outdoor event they were to perform at was canceled due to weather.

In Allan Arkush's film, Rock 'n' Roll High School a character in a pinhead mask would appears on stage carrying a large sign with the phrase "Gabba Gabba Hey" at the Ramones concert in the The Roxy.

My TV cable has been unplugged since July 2003. I only watch pre-recorded material that I've been collecting over the years. Finding the worthwhile stuff has become a part-time hobby. So I only watch the shows I enjoy, such as sci-fi, science, history, and good films. Commercials don't exist.

My advice: abandon TV wasteland, because it's hopeless. Instead, go online for a few minutes and grab some real entertainment! Pretty soon you'll have several thousand good shows in your growing collection :D

I have never paid for cable, although I would watch it at friends' houses.

For a few years I was reduced to one analog channel. Then digital broadcasting took over and I tossed my TV.

I don't own a TV right now. It seems much of the "entertainment" on television right now tries to appeal to the lowest common denominator audience. However, I do admit that there are some programs that are interesting.

You have government approved free speech as long it is laced with profanities, sex and violence. And you have your government approved sedative, alcohol.

The Office and Eastbound & Down (possibly the best show ever) are the shit. Parks and Rec is slightly entertaining too. There's a few others. I have DirecTv, but I rarely use it. Most of the shows are a whole bunch of garbage. Comedy Central is a decent channel.

If you have a Ps3 or an Xbox360 you can download media server software, ps3 media server specifically, then plug your console into your computer via wifi or ethernet and you can now watch all formats on your TV. You can literally find anything between TPB and EZTV including HD and bluray stuff. This system is basically what I use to watch shows that I'm interested in. It only takes a few minutes to do, even if.

If I wanted to watch live sports I'd go ahead and get a nice digital antenna. Unfortunately those antennas don't work for everyone. I could definitely live without ESPN which is a horrible channel.

Television is 100% untrammeled arsehole sucking crud.....turns your brain into pudding and is the number one tool used by the Corpo-Nazis to shape the populace into what they need........complacent, ignorant and easily controlled taxpayer/consumers.

TV has always been lame. If it was not for a handful of shows like The Wire, Breaking Bad, and Deadliest Catch I probably wouldn't watch it. Occasionally Discovery Channel, National Graphics, or similar channels (animal planet, history, etc.), will show something interesting like Planet Earth but even those channels suck now. When I am in the house I listen to music, surf the net, or read. TV is kept off 98% of the time.
