Day 49 Flowering

Here are some photos of another test bud at Day 49. 1 plant is getting the chop in 4 days and the other 2 will be chopped in about 7 days.

Waterfarmfan most xcellent grow my friend. Now that you popped your coco cherry:tongue: so to speak do tell your pros and cons along with coco learning’s on your maiden voyage.

I did indeed pop my coco cherry on this grow.

Coming from a hydro background made the switch much easier IMHO. I have used Flora series nutes from the beginning and simply treated coco like hydro. I got some great advise about pre-treating the coco so that you dont over water during transplant.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with coco and will be using it again on my next BOG run.

Thought I would post a quick update. I chopped one plant at 52 days and the other two at 56. I am looking at around 10oz harvest, or .75 grams per watt. Not too bad for my first coco run. Dried pics coming.

Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!!!!

nice work wff. i am trying to be a good boy and not post my questions until i have read all i can about growing in coco. you thread has answered several of my questions. i am growing under a 150hps in a cabinet. i have been growing the same strain, dreamgoddess from MOD, for 2 plus years in a dwc. a year ago the slime tore through my set-up. i lost everything but 3 plants..they were flowered and then revegged and flowered again just pulled them tonight:) never had a problem cloning until after the slime..after countless attempts I finally got 7 to get roots. i put them in the dwc and the root growth has slowed tremendously. i have decide that this weekend they are going in coco. because i am afraid i will loose them in the h20. from what i read:
will use 1 gallon grow bags because i have them. i will put a little hydroton in the bottom like i would a soil grow.my plants are currently in 3in net pots and i can either put the net pots in the coco to keep from damaging roots during transplant. what do you all think? i have 2 separate plants in a 3in pot in 8in net pot. may be a little tricky transplanting.
my trouble has been h2o temps being to high. will this problem be eliminated by growing in coco? temps get to 80 degrees in my flower cabinet. hygrozyme??? will this help my grow? i bought it for the problems i was having in h2o but read before applying that the enzymes them self can led to the slimy roots. will I have problem if I use in coco? i also use Earth Ambrosia and Earth Nectar in my dwc from 3 to 7 days before changing the h20. in soil i used it about once a month.
my main concerns is the heat. with soil I never worried about it... can i treat coco the same way? are there any root problems that could develop with coco?
what i have noticed about the coco area of the icmag site is there is a lot of experience here. thanks in advance for the help

I50watts, try using a more powerful fan, For 150 watt light (HPS-MH) I would use at least half 75watts plus for the fan, about 50% the power of the light should do the trick & get a fan speed controller to lower the power on cooler days. :smokeit::dance013::smokeit:
