Here are some photo's my plants. They have 2 to 3 weeks to go yet. And all are growing under 2 CFL's. They have a very skunky smell. I hope every one else like them. They are still flowering strong, I'm very tempted to let them go for it as long as I can. They're in my PC Case so I guess when it is filled I'll have to harvest.:smokeit: While I showing photo's here are some new pics of my pc grow case. The last 2 photo's are of the front intake with Srubninja's light trap design on the fan and then the carbon filter on the exhaust fan. I'm also experimenting with old CD and DVD's as reflectors since they reflect a full color spectrum. The light's are 2 23w/100w CFL's. It's basic but works good, it's my first one, it has works good enough that I'll make some improvments and using it and I'm going to make a bigger better one soon.

:smokeit:About 2 1/2 months they're almost ready for harvest, just seeing if they fill out a little more. One is really now I may take it in a day or two. They smell great the afore mentioned one has a greenhouse skunk aroma, one just smells like well I guess I've no other way to describe it. It's a skunky cat piss aroma, Another one smells like a peppery, fuely, skunk aroma. And all are covered with THC but my web cam won't focus that close.:smokeit:

I'm 2 to 3 weeks into a new grow in my pc cases. I'm still using the small tower case that I've shown in this thread before. I just remodeled my mid tower case with a 120mm and a 90mm exhaust fans, and a 60mm for intake. I have three power strips put in, up, across, and down the back side panel, one is actually a pc surge protector strip that everything else in the case is powered from. I have three 26w/100w CFL's for light running at 12/12. Because I have so many outlets in the case I can move the lights to the height I need without having to stack books, CD's, or DVD's to get my new plants up to the light. Instead I can bring the light down to them. So far it's working good. I'll post some pictures of the case later, as soon as I can get them. But I have some of my own F1's and some good bag seed started, some are a week to 2 weeks ahead of the others.:tiphat:

Here are the pictures (sorry about the size of the photo's I'm using my web cam and it's a old one.)of the ATX Mid tower pc case I just finished and am using now along with my other one. I used the front covers from the CD and Floppy drives for more realism. I have a 120mm and a 90mm fan for exhaust in the back. I wired a plug to the old power supplies plug and switch wires so it uses the computer power cord and switch. And I have a pc surge protector strip plugged into it that powers the two other power strips and the 1 amp ac power supply for the fans I can also move the lights around to adjust for plant height or to side light the plants. And even add more lights if desired. I put a 60mm fan at the intake to assist air flow. And as you can see I'm using three 26w/100w CFL's. I've got plants in it already and it works good. I thought about all of the good ideas I've seen folks using here and figured I'd use some of them in this case. So I really have everybody here to thank for sharing their case pictures.:tiphat: :canabis: :smokey:

If you mean did I just use the front covers from the drives. Then yes I just removed the covers from a couple of old drives I had hanging around and glued them in. I also have the LED lights on the drive covers and the power lights wired to run on AA batteries, but it takes two batteries to run one light for the length of a grow and I have five lights but I only run three so that's six batteries in the case cover.

BC those lights sound pretty cool. If I could find something like that around here I'd use them.

Quick question!

I'm working on a 70w HPS PC grow.
I was thinking about maybe adding a few PL-L's on the walls down low to hit some of the lower branches.
Would this be a good idea? Would it even make a difference or help in any way?

Thanks in advance!

what country do you live in Ghostwolf? I might be able to help you out..you really, really need to try those lights...
hey Bill...side lighting is important... check out my thread below to see what side lighting can do..Ghost has them too..my last grow produced 114 wet/31 dry off an 11 inch plant and alot of that was due to side lighting..
this thread is cfl's but there is an hps club in the forums that would help you out for sure..
take care Ghost...let me know..

Good Evening BC. I'm in America, in central Florida. Those lights sound great but I'll probably have to wait a little. Money is a sensitive matter, I just shot my budget making this last case. Hopefully I'll have some to work with in 2 or 3 weeks. But tell me what you have in mind maybe I can figure something out. Anyway I could use some more light any. I still have a small heat issue to take care of. It would seem that even with 3 fans the case is running around and about 88 and 90 degrees F, and the out side temp is going 65 F during the day and 40 F at night. And it's still Winter, I will be in trouble if it were summer. Now I did find a 4" personal fan here for $6.00 that kicks a lot of air out. I was thinking of putting that was the 120mm fan is in the back and moving that one to the front, top to blow across the lights. I think that would do the trick and I could safely add more lights

Hey Ghost!! It doesn't cost much at all to ship something there...send me a pm..
sounds like you need a stronger cfm exhaust fan..how many cfm is it?computer stores in your area have them for dirt cheap if you look around.. Say your case is 24 inches tall( just an example), 23 inches in depth(Length) and 8.5 inches wide..you would need a 5 inch intake hole( with nothing in it) and a fan that pushes 54cfm would be perfect to suck all heat...so now you want more lights which is more heat which means your exhaust fan has to have higher cfm's to suck out that heat..the link below is where I got major help... please check it out Ghost..it will help you with heat issues and all other issues with ventilation..ask red anything and he'll get back to you but give him all the dimensions of your pc..as far as a fan blowing air on the lights, thats a good thing Ghost!!
My exhaust fan is 251 cfm!! Its strong so I do need a fan controller but its working for now..my ole Delta( 151 cfm) worked perfect..\
I had one of those 80mm fans with an aluminum heatsink before and it not only sucked air out but it also cooled the top too..
I really hope you check that thread..its a big help for sure..
as far as the lights I have, send me a pm and we'll work something out..
Take care

Well the case is 19"D x17"H x8"W The 120 is 78cfm I don't know what the 90 and the 60 cfm's are. I just went to Red Greener"s thread and explained the satuation to him and showed him the pic's of it to, so hopefully he will have an answer. Thanks for telling me about it. I think the 4" fan will work, the motor is bigger and it moves a lot of air. I'm just not totaly sure about it. The intake is about 4" the 60mm doesn't fill it. I only put it there to help after I saw the temp inside. I can open up the lower grill in the back as another intake, but I don't want it to suck the hot air coming out of the fans above it. Still I could redirect the exhaust away from there. Anyway I'll send you a pm.
