I know why they would use mol (ie. an "Einstein"; and it's not a good choice for plant lights) but I don't know what "dia." is. If you call and ask them what they mean by "dia." I can give you more info. A mol is measure of photon, were umol is a microEinstein.
When comparing lights for growing plants PPFD is the measure we want, that is umol per m^2 per second (umol within PAR range). If measuring the total irradiance over a day (ex. total PPFD) we would use mol per day.
P.S. Can you please tone down the size of your text?
I thik it has to do with the overall length Either maximum or minimum overall length. I looked at the website and their not describing a mole but referring to length
What pic? I don't see a pic, just text. Did you find out what "dia." means? I think BB88 might be correct but if so that means mol is misused. Hummm. Now I am curious too.
MOL (an acronym, should be 'M.O.L.' strictly speaking) refers to the length of the bulb itself, physically. Dia stands for 'diameter' and refers to the diameter of the bulb at its widest point.
Thanks for that. I couldn't image why they would use mol (as a photon), however, MOL or M.O.L. makes a lot more sense and now I re-read the OP's first post I see the capitals.
