I made seeds from a pack of nirvana cali-o . that was some of the best skunk/orange smoke i have smoked .it grew like a indaca but has a killer sativa high very frosty.and smells just like you peeled a orange . when i pulled out a bag people said who eating a orange.
wallyduck and i talked about the old nirvana cali-o and he agreas that the old version is better then the most recent version . that they breed it more towered the indaca side. and now you will get purple phenos and all. i plan on going through my cali-o orange and finding a good rep of the cali-o. i would love to get the original clone as to make my own cross with. just for that orange flavor

I remember finally getting Cali-O after years of searching. The search and acquisition of your dream strains is part of this hobby I really enjoy. As others have said, nice taste/appearance, easy to grow, and a good yield, but lacking in potency. Will color up nice if taken at 9 weeks with a cold flush.
Icon-Where did you get the CaliO X DC? Sounds like a tasty and hardy cross.

Breeder : Chimera/DJ Short
Flowering Time : 50-60 days
Environment : Indoor/Outdoor
Seeds Per Pack : 10
Yield : Yield 910 gr/ 680 gr

Mothered by our legendary 25+ yr old California Orange clone, and fathered by DJ Short’s Blueberry. This large producing hybrid adapts well to most growing environments, and prefers a mild diet. The last 2 weeks of this plant’s life will impress with the huge swelling of calyxes into light green bundles of frost. Excellent daytime smoke with an inspiring and creative high. Pleasant bittersweet orange soda flavor.

Breeder : Nirvana Seeds Standard
Flowering Time : 8 - 10 weeks
Environment : Indoor,Outdoor
Origin : Holland
Seeds Per Pack : 10

Our California Orange Bud is selected for its orange candy aroma and taste. California Orange Bud is one of the easier varieties to clone and cultivate under a variety of conditions. With good care it will produce a heavy crop of good quality. Buds are covered with long orange and deep pink hairs. California Orange Bud is a wise selection for experienced and novice growers as well.

Yup it sure does but when you get specific instructions NOT to pass it to anyone it's kinda good not to fuck that person's wishes either.. I've got a few I'm not allowed to give out like Strawberry Diesel Coffin Cut and I respect the wishes of the person who found it who doesn't want it whored out to clubs and end up bred with by some dip shit n then his and his buddy's crops are worthless...

I can see what your sayin man.Where i'm at good cuts aren't just foatin around like on the west coast know what i mean.People (including me) are very secretive in my state cause of the laws.Shitty, but we have no other choice to avoid problems.Have a good day....Fuckface!!!!Does have a nice ring to it huh?

I grew Nirvana's Cali O a few years back when I was starting out. Same thing from me; nice flavor, good yield, nice bag appeal, but a little less potent than I needed. Since I was running Nirvana's Northern Lights and White Rhino among others, and they were definitely not lacking in potency, the orange girl had to go. Some crosses were made if I remember correctly, but none too memorable.

Now, I recently purchased and grew out some Big Buddha Chiesel, and I must say both phenos I had were very citrusy and delicious. One was like grapefruit, with orange/tangerine undernotes, the other was straight out sweet, tangerine candy. Excellent weed. Good potency, good yield, great bag appeal, top notch aroma and flavor.

I assume the citrus is passed to the Chiesel from it's NYCD father. So if you want potent smoke with a citrus flavor, either of these will perhaps fit the bill, besides the other suggestions that have been made.

I crossed both my Chiesel phenos with 6 Resevoir Chemdog IX-III fathers. I have a few hundred seeds. Some may find their way to Seedbay as freebies at some point, but I still need to to the germ testing, and possibly a test grow or two.

Anyway, hope this helps...

Good luck!

I grew California Orange from Dutch Passion and it was the worst seeds I ever bought hands down.

As for strain hoarding. I reached out my local community for cuts after spending $500 on seeds and not coming away with anything resembling an elite cut. No one helped. Now I got in on some Rez seeds sssdh, chemdog, sour diesel and of course the hands are out and rather than hold back I shared. I know the value of good strains and spreading the clones around. This is America dude. Holding elites just makes it harder for people to get better stuff. America is a sellers market on cannibus. There is more empty bowls than filled. SO SHARE YOUR ELITES. It's aint helping the community to keep them exclusive. All that does is inflate individual egos. The whole my weed is better than yours which is akin to 6th grade playground politics.

so I should just get the Royal Orange then, and look for the cali Orange pheno? How is it different than the other phenos in Royal Orange, or are they all the same pheno in that strain.

I love orange strains. I am looking for a good one to cross with DJ Shorts Blueberry and True Blueberry.

thanks.

ive got this super elite cut of some shit Thats so rare and secret Im afraid to even mention it online...ok, well its called, VAGINA and it smells DANK AS HELL!! Its from the 1800's, still original cut, My buddy is growing it and I might get a cut and Im fucking hoarding it in my closet where it will never see the light of day(literally...just my HPS) and then Im going to drying it out and smoke it. After that Im going to tell every one about how dank it is and how I have this super rare secret strain that no one else can get, cus It makes me feel cool and people want to be my friends because I have the cool weed....that they cant get. Im thinking about putting bear traps around the closet just in case some one thinks about taking it...

Hello there. I think Chimera has one variety as well as TGA Subcool. Not sure on the names but Calizhar was from Chimera and listed the Cali O cut as one of the parents. TGA's offering was Agent Orange I believe. Hemp Depot listed them in their current listings. Not sure if the Boutique stocks Chimera version. I passed on a package of Nirvana's Cali Orange along with Nirvana's Shunk to a friend who is interested in growing since I heard that it is easy strain for beginning growers. I once had the pleasure of sampling some of Humbolt County's famous outdoor down in Hupa Cali many years ago and was nice herb to smoke ( not sure the strain but it was homegrown Humbolt outdoor kick-ass bud) Good luck in your search. Regards.

* Hey. Was mistaken on the TGA Subcool listed a "local orange skunk" not the Cali O clone. Reportedly it does well outdoors and finishes quick for dependable outdoor cultivation.

Chimera makes a Cali O X Blueberry cross that may interest you, his close relationship with DJ shorts allows him to use the good "non dutch," blueberry males.
