I've been super cropping should I now top? When?

Okay so i have 5 plants in 5 gallon pots about 28+ inches tall. A month ago I started super cropping the crap out of them and now they are bushes and have lots of flowering sites. 2bubblegum/1 golden skush, 1 mazar 1 the black

I was wondering if I should go through and top every flowering site? I still need to transplant them into 10 gallon's and then veg a little, how should I time the topping/transplant/flip?

If I top every shoot then 30 becomes 60 with a little more veg?

Just looking for options.

The 5 are around the perimiter theres also 13 1 gals in there

those things are gona be monsters when you flower them. if your going to top them do it but i would flower them no later than a week after that.

no mate cropping does not involve topping...its ether topping or cropping ....totally diffrent....purpose of cropping it to let the plant bush out and to grow big upstanding multiple sidebranches...

and topping is to make 2-6 main tops, not more realy

A week? I gotta another month of veg on the big ones..... So I have to keep training them. There are a crap load of plants right behinds them that I have to start training.

I know the difference and have always topped once in veg for my 1 gal finishers. But I 've cropped the heck out of em and still need to train hem a bit longer so was thinking if I topped the sites when I transplant to 10 gal, wait 3 weeks, then flip.


Basically I need to further train and transplant these. Should I just continue suppercropping?

keep super cropping them! once i cropped 4 times the same plant, the main stalk had 4 steps looked like stairs!

in other plants, one s.cropping is enough!

Firstly, cool grow, congrats.

Second, I don't mean to hijack or anything, and please forgive my ignorance. But I have read some people say super-cropping is topping. But I think super-cropping just means crushing the stems of the main cola, where topping means cutting. Am I right?

yep! that's about it...

topping = cut

s. cropping = 'hard' bend

Yeah crushing and bending the stems.

I only tried it because I have all these plants growing faster than I could build a room.

The main stems have been cropped 2-3 times, as new tops form I re crop everything. Big lumps form where you damage em.

I tried fimming but was way to high so instead of 4 tops I just have 1 but the tips of the leaves are all clipped LOL

just one more thing I forgot to mention!

i did s.crop as later as 3 weeks into flowering, with no problem what so ever!
the strain was NYCD,
...although I suggest to do all trainning in veg (lst, topping, s.cropping, etc)

Well I guess I'll just keep cropping them. Everyone and their grandmother tells me SC is bad for the palnts and it stalls them but I haven't seen that at all..... not under 1000w MH.

I just thought I could top every site and double the sites really eash then start super cropping all the new shoots. Could double flowering spots.

But the two just aren't combined?

I'l tell you that super cropping is the easiest method to tran a plant next to lollipopping 1 gal sog like I used to, I would cut under growth 6-8 inches from the bottom, top twice and then dead end side branches at node 3-4 to make pole.

So I have absolutely no concept of strtch only have ran low stretch. I think I read the bubble gum takes off, I really wondering about the durban poinson and golden skunk. The GS has straight up this sativa leaves and it slows it up when super cropping and really hasn't branched much the branches seem to be whispy and not very fat to support buds. That one i may have to top 2-3 times onnce into flower.

The others I'll just keep playing with.

personally I prefer S.crop because it's a way to get multiple tops without loosing the main top/cola!

SC stalls...! actually any tweak you apply to the plant it will stall it,
i'm talking about 1 or 2 days of shock after you SC, but nothing to worry about... at least in my case

Yeah totally, when you bend it, it doesn't creat 2 tops like topping, it creates 4 or 5. I bend a main stem and the part that's now horizontal, every node will dent out another top..... I guess it just makes sens to stick wit it this grow. I'm happy so far

do me a favor you guys, and go buy some white and black poly or paint those walls white or something! Come on, you losing serious lumens without a nice reflective surface, it will pay off

You might wanna rethink your veg time with those bad boys unless you have more than 1 light, cause its not gonna do the trick in the end stretch with that many big boys.
