2 plants 37 grams

I had 2 bubba's got them about 12 inches tall. put them straight into 12/12. flowered for about 45 days under a 400 watt hps. plants looked like the had a ton on them. I think most of this was excitement and in experience since this was my first real grow.

I ended up with 37 grams of the best shit i've ever had. just wondering how much I should have expected? I thought I would have got atleast 2 or 3 oz per plant.

I was watering every other day, the upped it to every day the last 2 weeks. and was using general hydroponics ferts.

I did take 6 clones wich i did in an aeropoinc setup and transplanted into soil. left on in a single dwc to see the difference. the soil plants look way better. greener denser taller fuller. so I transplanted the hydro plant into soil today, hope it doesnt go into shock.

thanks for all the help so far guys!

Something must have been wrong in your dwc.
I started my first grow in dwc and they have done nothing but grow like gang busters. Look at my grow journal.

I mean for ur first succesful grow anything should be sufficient. But at least ur secod grow ull know what u could do to make it better. U should of flowered a little longer. And u don't have to water everyday. Sometimes that's too much only water when they need it. Cuz that's the biggest thing IMHO that would of maybe been better But then again I don't know maybe u had too

if it was really 'true' bubba, then i order to really make that girl yeild you need to grow her big before flowering her.... if you flipped her at 12" she probably finished about 24-26" yes?

i do think you should have let it go at least 56 days... i like 58-60 myself.

i just harvested a bubba that i vegged for 3-4 weeks (until she was 20" tall) topping her a few times to encourage multiple branches/tops... that plant put out 60g alone (and i had 11 other plants sharing table/light space with her under 1k/4x4 that yeilded out equally).

i would suggest growing her a lot bigger next time. ive been growing bubba for a few years now and the only way, for me, to grow her is big n bushy otherwise the yeild is very discouraging even though the smoke is top shelf.

good luck on your next run....

my plan this time is to veg longer and flower a little longer. I also was using pots that were too small. 6 or so inches. the plants were about 24 inches when finished.

this time around I am using bigger pots and have experimented with LST on 2 of the girls. and am trying SCROG this time.

If you were watering and /or feeding daily....then that def had an impact on yer yield. Yer soil wants to dry between waterings. Not so yer plants wilt, but so the pot is "light".

Congrats on yer harvest tho. Ain't know grown like homegrown. :)

biff. bubba doesnt stretch much when put into flower. with a 400 i'd veg till theyre about 20 inches. an for flowering, bubba will need at least 60 days. i would recommend 70, to get the full effect, and yield.

I believe you could have flowered them for a few more weeks...

Agreed! Its your first go though so how were you supposed to know! If you grow from seed they will stretch more and produce a good few oz. If you got cuttings then veg a little longer as they stretch alot less, but being more compact means you can make better use of your light. Just run 8 or 9 cuttings under your 400w and you will harvest proper numbers! Enjoy your first homegrown buds...... once you start you really can't stop!!!
