Anyone Know What Strain of Pot this Is ?

Here's the bottom of the pot

Here's the bottom of the pot

This is one of the reasons I think it is an old jug/pot. See all the impurities in the clay? Little rocks and stuff?

What the heck does it say? Definitely A "C" but after that, I can't tell.

Thanks for all the help ya'll. Stoner power is amazing!

The fleck looks like it's in the glaze, not the clay.. could be wrong though. An educated guess, going off the picture and description; it's from the 1900's, likely 1960-1990. :)

edit: looking at the signature and the clay it's definitely from 1980-1990 :) you can buy that clay it's nice to work with!

I unearthed it in a place where it is unlikely to be new, but maybe that little old lady lied... heehee.

Yes, I was out pickin one day in old lady's barn... She had ran an old antique store back in her day.

Well, shoot, I was thinking it was from the 1920s at the latest.

I am into Art Pottery. I have a nice little collection of Roseville, McCoy and yes, a few more unidentifieds...

Thanks Che. I really hope you are wrong this time... shoot.

It's possible that it's as old as that, and I'm not an authority on the subject ;) The thing about throwing clay is you can make anything look like anything depending on the materials used. You can look at that pot and say it *could* be from 1750.. but I'm certain it's not. The floral design indicates a more recent artist, and the materials would seem to support it.

Looks like Co then L or E. The last letter is either a capital J or q.
