Paranoid influenced me more than any other but you have to have all of it to appreciate Ozzy's influence on the band.
Heaven and Hell is cool but it's like being a Bon Scott fan. Brian Johnson isn't any better or any worse, it's just culture shock. Same thing with Ozzy getting kicked out of BS. It's all gone except for the records.

thanks disco, i never really was into black sabbath, so i got them last week, and holy shit, i listened to them for like 6 hours straight, it blew my fucking mind.
im a huge floyd fan, roger waters to be exact, so i can understand members leaving the band and it not being the same, so i went for just the ozzy stuff

You're right, AB. The only thing Paranoid had against it was being played to death on radio stations. But it had all the shit every hard rock band looked for in a heavy song. I'd like to see a top 5 most influential songs for hard rock musicians, I bet Paranoid tops the list for many.

i saw BALCK SABBATH when OZZY was with them in the HAMPTON COLLISIUM in VA in 1978 VAN HALEN was the warm-up band with thier 1st album.BS was great but for stage show VAN HALEN blew them away
