im not dissing anybody but what is it thats fun about having a snake ,they dont do anything but slither around ,some people carry them around thier necks ,i think thats just for the shock value from other people .my buddy is a tattooist and he had 2 big mofo's 1 11 footer and 1 16 footer .he used to put 2 rabbits ata time in with the biggest 1 .that thing would strike and coil up 1 rabbit and while doing that it would strike and hold the other in its mouth until the first 1 was squeezed to death then coil up the 2nd 1 and after it died it would eat both ,then wouldnt eat for like 3 months lol .once someone dropped of a cardboard box with chickens in it but my firend wasnt there so the dumbass left the box of chickens and they got out and it turned into a circus with the COPS chasing the chickens around in the traffic .lol funny as hell

having pet snakes are awesome, they are amazing animals. how ever, I HATE people that have snakes that big in their house. that's just mean.. a snake that big needs a large area to live, not just a tank that it barely fits in..

You could technically say the same thing about every other animal on earth people keep as pets. Why keep a beautiful bird locked up in a cage? I feel as if I'm doing these snakes a favor by taking them. If I wouldn't have, they could be with some little kid getting treated like shit and what not. They are the most specialized animal in the world. They have been around before crocodiles and alligators, they are just amazing creatures.

they even have these things called spurs where you can see where the snakes used to have back legs..
snakes haven't always not had legs, they have evolved more than any creature on earth here today.

how cool is that?

I have 2 kittens I got last november from the shelter. One of them is crazy, he doesn't meow, he flutters with his throat and sounds like a bird. He makes noise like every step he takes like he is bouncing. They neuter them before adoption at the shelter to help control the population, but...
...
...
... they left one of my crazy cat's balls in. He has one free-range ball floating around and I'm pretty sure that's why he is so crazy. The other cat is docile from having both removed, but crazy kitty is just pissed.

Some people like art on walls, others like it on their snakes? I'm not sure how else to answer that question bro. Why do people keep any kind of animals in captivity other then pure selfishness. Unless the animal is being used for work or food?
I've always been facinated by snakes growing up, I remember as a kid growing up filling up 5gallon buckets full of gartner snakes and sneaking them in the house till mom would find them and have a shit fit.lol
As for ball pythons, the large number of different colour/pattern morphs is just crazy, and new combination are always being tested , some of these combos are simply ridiculously beautiful.
For me, it's the live art and the fact that this is one of only a couple of my hobbies that pays for itself plus some.
Have a look at a few examples from NERD's reptile collection, and yet pictures don't do them justice...

It is one of my favorite pets ever. When they are hungry and hunting they move all around in the cage. It is like watching a lava lamp.

in the wild ...we are pretending now.... there is a large 10 foot python curled up in a hollow log that you would never guess he even fit in. If a rabbit walked by every few days so the snake could just grab it, kill it and eat it the snake would never move from that spot. It would stay there forever if it didn't want to mate. Snakes don't just go for pleasure hikes to see new things. They stay in the same spot as long as a food source is available.

Well every now and then when my snake is hungry a big fat rat just happens to come by and my snake doesn't want to go for a hike.

Last night I had my first clutch of eggs of the season:dance013:
I'm expecting another one sometime today:jump:
Will update in about 56 days when the babies hatch.

cool snakes everyone. i used to have alot of diff kinds but that was so long ago.i got out right around the time the pastels were coming out.but my sons bout 4 now and my nefew live wit me now so i think some balls would be just the snake to get them started.
Can anyone recommend a good breeder/seller of some of the more vivid variety balls?
