Damn, I've been watching this thread since you started it, didn't expect hermies! That sucks!:wallbash:

I had a few of mine hermie recently, my best.

What do you think may have caused it? Too much nutes? light.. cold? just curious.

Never the less, looking great your colas look hella tasty!

If it's anything of my doing, it's a light leak issue, as i've accidentally left lights on outside the panda plastic walls of my growroom. but none of my other plants that are prone to herming have done so during this same period of time, so it may just be a genetic problem. it's sad because everything else about the plant is a growers dream. big fast resinous nugs. she is all trimmed up and I have several pics of the busted male flowers and the resulting seeds. I'll get the pics up here in a few hours. She seems to have given it up pretty nicely though. seems like it will be 1.5 oz or so in a 2 gallon pot. topped once, grew to be about 20" tall. I'll get the final weigh tally up probably thursday or friday after I get home from a little jaunt to the windy city to see 2 nights of furthur. :jump::dance013:

Damn Tickle, that's too bad... that strain looked good where it counted before the hermies came round. Those buds look nice and frosty.

I know the feeling when everything else about em is so sweet and then there's that one little flaw... I have a bag seed strain saved from a very special pick up that's been highly treasured and shared amongst friends. Despite all her great, unique qualities she spits out nanners in the last week to two weeks of flowering. No matter the garden, grower, medium, nutrients, or lighting she does it. We've all accepted it as a small price to pay for having such a unique, special plant. Hopefully your hermies aren't enough to cost you that special plant.

You gonna run her again and see if she stays wang free?

yeah, I have to. Gotta see if it's me or the plant. my mom I have is vegged out nice and big. I'll take some cuts from her and put her in a 5 or 7 gallon pot and see how she does as a 3-4 ft plant. If she doesn't herm this next run, she could be a good contender for some of my outdoor plans this year. seems like she could be a perfect plant for my climate.

Dang, I was hoping that didnt happen. I noticed on some of the powerhouse testers, the ones that were sour bubble dominant. They would drop a few under the leaf balls @ 35 days 12/12. I never noticed the Berkely herm in all the years. But i did notice sour bubble had some issues. Not always, but sometimes. Thats too bad bro cause she was looking real nice. Hope she didnt make too many strays.. Better luck next time. Some of those new genetics are more stable. Peace and thanks for the updates. You rock TMB!

yep. thats pretty much exactly when she hermed. I started to notice it around 42 days. seems like between 30 and 35 is when the first ones busted. the very bottom nugs have a bunch of mature beans in them. the rest of the nugs are pretty free though. I'll keep using this thread for the next run so it's easy to see if this clone will settle down and be a winner. thanks for all your hard work and generosity Berk!

Here's a smoke report before I get some pics. gotta clear my camera from vacation...

Termination. I don't know what to call this pheno, as there isn't anything super unique about it. It is VERY strong. chopped at 50 days it still rocks me. very narcotic high. Having grown and smoked the mom in this cross, I would say that a lot of the influence here is paternal, except for the potency. I remember the berkley being a strong indica. The flavor isn't very pronounced. Gonna have to give it a bit of a cure to see if anything comes out. I would imagine the smell is more influenced by the dad, it gives off kind of a light bubble gum/sweet candy type smell.

So far I really he like smoke, I've got a really big mom I'm going to try to flower and hopefully I can keep her happy enough to not bust all over my garden again.

so I'm flowering out my Termination mom. she's still herming, not as bad this time. seriously producing thick nuggets though. I ditched the clones I had cause I can't deal with the herming, but the herms did produce a few S1 seeds for me, so if I want her back, I can try again.
Here's some pics from day 38.
