i dont need to battle with anyone. if there was another strain called carolina blue, i haven't heard of it in almost 20 years. the one i named is a cut of some fantastic herb that will make it's rounds.

this is a special cut of blue sat 2.2 x grape krush. here is a link to my gallery...

wow....okay.

Let me say this. The strain that is being discussed and has the attention of these particular forums currently...is EXACTLY as Phillthy described in his first post.

He found the pheno amongst several other females from the same seeds that while decent, were by no means keeper material...and CB stood out like a diamond in mud. Say what you will, but there is NO WAY at all some wild backwoods pollen pissing wind breed .....nah, I'm just kidding...

But we are talking about something different. The links you posted refer to a plant known simply as "Carolina"....and I am glad you had to opportunity to experience that plant.

However, you HAVE NOT had the current Carolina Blue...very few have at this point. I consider myself to have found a goose that lays golden eggs and to have been blessed by all things good to actually have sampled this lovely herb myself...

I truly hope you get the chance to do the same...all people deserve the chance to try this fantastic plant....the community and med patients everywhere can benefit from her big time.

Let's not get stupid and start a childish feud over the fact that there is nothing new under the sun...and not be surprised that someone else has managed to select the same two words from with in the english language and arrange them in the same order again....

Phillthy found this particular cut....as he said. Many names were actually DISCUSSED before it was finally chosen by another individual close to him.

Let the record show....

Ironic, every one of you that commented about my post, gravitated to suspected controversy. Where is it here though? Whos arguing? Why are you even posting something like that? If you know me, follow my threads, my web sites, my breeders fourms, If you meet me or my wife, my kids, my students, or read my book, you will know how much it means to me to take credit for things. I simply dont...

I did however enjoy the interest that has been generated around the poor fella who named his hybrid. Unfortunately folks seem to be more interested in combating an invisible controversy rather than ask questions or answer them as the fella who created this page requested...

My question: I see this is by cut only, are there any BX projects? Sounds like pheno only.

hey woodsman. no issues here. a name is a name to me. this is a simple clone only cut that was found to be far superior to her siblings. something special that i wanted to share. i dont doubt you or what you state so no worries. as far as backcrossing... there are several options that i am weighing to see if i can get her to breed her qualities into her offspring. from teh grape krush to the blue sat2.2 to sweet tooth#3.. i will try several things :)

Actually, I wasn't really planning on doing this...but perhaps someone pissed in my cornflakes this morning. I see no reason to limp off and act as if my post was inappropriate or argumentative, and frankly, I see no reason to down play the assertive nature of my last post.

What controversy???

1. You come in the door as a new member and lay claim on a new cut.

2. You provide links to other forums, where you are obviously and active participant. HOWEVER, in all of those post, NEVER ONCE, is the plant "Carolina Blue" mentioned. You do make mention of a plant you seemed to have found growing in the wild, and named "Carolina".

3. Ummmm....okay, wait.

Carolina Blue, it still grows outdoors in West SC, East GA, Agusta GA indoor, and Myrtle Beach SC area indoor. Most people end up calling it "Dro" down there and have no clue what it is other than good...

How did you hear about it? I grow it.
Carolina Blue is a wild cannabis hybrid. Widow/blueberry X Wild Carolina. The old timers made it and it stuck as a DRO strain in the south for years. The phenos that dont herm are that which were made famous but you have to be good at selecting a mother in order to avoid the phenos that do. This plant was used outdoors because it seeded in the masses and returned every year without fail. A fella could easily pick the correct pheno from a massive crop and use it indoor without trouble. Most all the phenos are potent, unfortunatly the most potent happens to be a pheno that makes bananas around day 60. I assure you if you can handle a bean or too in your stash you will more than pleased with everthing else the plant will offer you. I love it!

Seeing how the correct answer had already been provided to the original poster by another, it seems a bit asinine of you to even post what you did...all it did is muddle and cause confusion.

4. When the only person that has ever heard of the information you provided is you...and it seems to be information sourced from yourself...just makes it a bit hard to fact check, no?

5. No one has EVER heard of a plant called "Carolina Blue" until recently when Phillthy introduced the cut.

6. The "controversy" is in fact not a controversy at all....you are just simply wrong.

If you know me, follow my threads, my web sites, my breeders fourms, If you meet me or my wife, my kids, my students, or read my book, you will know how much it means to me to take credit for things. I simply dont...

Ummm...well, I have kinda read through the 20 something post you have made at ICm...not much of a track record I suppose. No offense. I'm not one to judge by post count, other than when asked to do so. I'm truly sorry if you've left me with not much other choice, seeing as it's not likely I'll ever meet your family or students, making that some what of a moot point, no?
I suppose if you want to send me an autographed copy of your book, I'd be more than delighted to display it on my coffee table, if it in fact be worthy of such a lofty location.
