xj13--in what ways did the strain exhibit lack of stability, aside from a tendency to herm with enough light leaks, that is?

XJ-13 - any grow info out there?

XJ-13 - any grow info out there?

I saw this plant in LA the other day and came away with a few cuts. I was wondering if there is anyone who has grown this strain out and knows the flowering time and any other tips about feeding etc. that may come from their experience.

i have 1 going, we're at 57 days flowering today, that's a day past 8 weeks, the oaksterdam nursery pamphlet i have states 7-8 weeks but there isn't much amber yet so i'm letting it chill another week maybe

she's real lanky, the top colas are pretty phat and frost covered, she will have fast sudden growth spurts during flowering

i am a total noob grower, this grow is actually the first time i have ever gotten as far as flowering, and now almost at harvesting, there were some times where i almost killed her and her friends, 110 degrees in the cabinet for the first few days of flowering for example, so glad they pulled through

here's some pics from my blog

the 3 taller colas in the back are the xj13

she's the lanky one in the back...yes, i know i have her bent way too much, she exploded when i set her into flowering, one day i came home for instance, and she was 3 inches taller, so i had to do this about 40 days into flowering as she was about to touch the lamp

i have a little lower bud that is dry enough to try now, cut it several days back, i just broke a piece off to pop into the pipe and the smell that wafted into my nose was strong citrusy smell

just took a toke, very light tasting citrusy, i noticed within a few seconds my nose felt like it's airways opened up a bit, man this stuff is very smooth, my eyes are feelin' low after, man this stuff is the bomb

Here are some pics of my ladies Iam about 4 weeks in flowering. It almost has a wrecky kinda smell to it, or I could possibly describe it as a lemon/citrus nice Cola size. I don't have light leeks so I hope I won't be seing no hermy. It is a garden rescue though that could explain this problem. Anyway take a look and subscribe to the thread if you want to watch her finish.

How in the fuck did I start this thread on 2/24 only to have my original post moved down the list to post #7 and someone named
"Two12sKnockin"
is now listed as the originator of the thread?

sorry to bring sad news...

sorry to bring sad news...

but unless you are running 6000 watts of lite this strain is a letdown indoors. i know blue skye meant well w this cross. but its just not the strain to waste your time and space on. in my opinion. Get a true Jack Herer cut if you like the sativas. JH wont let you down indoors as long as you are running above 600 watts

What buddy this is totally untrue as far as my experience. My plants are doing great I am expecting a decent yield from these ladies. As far as I can tell I will get what I expect from this amazing nugget. This is your first post so I think you should get a freebie but it seems to me like you are not experienced enough to make these judgments and it is not cool to come in here and make these acquisitions without some grow proof. I am only running 1k and expect 400 to 700 grams. In my book that will be fine considering what happen to my plants when they were babies.

Not from what I saw in an LA grow room 3 weeks ago.
